At Schultz Floral Shop, flowers are more than our business, they’re our way of celebrating life’s most meaningful moments. Since 1969 families in Valparaiso, Indiana and the surrounding communities of Chesterton, Wanatah, Wheeler, Boone Grove, Kouts, and South Haven have trusted us to create floral designs that honor their traditions, brighten their celebrations, and comfort them in times of need.

Jessica Ray
Jessica Ray, owner and lead florist at Schultz Floral Shop in Valparaiso, Indiana, believes flowers have the power to tell stories, celebrate traditions, and connect people. Known for her eye for detail and love of seasonal colors, Jessica brings a refined touch to every design, whether it’s a wedding bouquet, sympathy tribute, or a seasonal centerpiece for the family table.
Before purchasing Schultz Floral Shop, Jessica spent over 15 years in marketing, sales strategy, and project management focused on small businesses and teams. That experience gives her a unique perspective on customer service and running a local florist business with her family.
Jessica is passionate about keeping Schultz Floral deeply connected to the Valparaiso community. She and her team take pride in honoring the shop’s long-standing traditions while introducing fresh, modern designs designed in Valpo that reflect today’s styles. Substitution Policy
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.
Delivery Policy
Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee. Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient's time zone.
Refund Policy
Refunds are processed immediately. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (219) 464-3588, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?
We’d be happy to take care of that for you! Please contact us at (219) 464-3588 and we’ll cancel your subscription right away.

We have used Schultz for many years to purchase flowers for the altar at our church. Recently we purchased the flowers and they were beautiful when they came in on Friday but by Sunday many were drooping in the arrangements (namely Carnations and Snap Dragons). I don't know if this is due to them sitting for a couple days, not enough water or care. I'm not sure. Thankfully most people probably didn't notice that they were a bit floppy but as the person who ordered and paid the cost of them I noticed it. I don't know if there is a way to fix the process so the flowers make it to Sunday when dropped on Friday.
With that said everyone is always friendly and helpful at the shop and the church continues to use Schultz for many needs at other times of the year and we've been very happy.
I will also say that I received a dozen roses for my anniversary from Schultz from my husband and they were gorgeous and lasted over a week. We were very happy with those.

While I understand that substitutions sometimes have to be made due to availability of a particular flower, I was surprised to see Alstroemeria flowers used in place of carnations.
The arrangement was good, but with the above mentioned flower, it changed the overall look. Not a bad look, just not what I expected.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.

Our in-store customer coolers have a variety of arrangements and bouquets curated daily that are first-come, first-served. Requested arrangements are custom orders. Fulfillment of custom orders is based on our designer queue. During busier dates and seasons our design services historically sell out 3+ days in advance of the holiday. Please call the shop if you have questions regarding availability.
