How BloomNation Reviews Work
When you read a review on BloomNation, you're reading one thing: feedback from a customer who actually placed and received a flower order through our platform. That sounds obvious, but it's the difference between a review you can trust and a review that could have come from anyone.
Here's exactly how our reviews work, and why we hold them to a stricter standard than open review sites.
Every review comes from a verified purchase
A BloomNation review request only goes out after an order has been fulfilled, and every review is tied to that order record. There's no anonymous submission and no way to review a shop you never bought from — so every star rating is backed by a real transaction and a real delivery. That's why reviewers are labeled Verified Purchasers.
This is the core difference from open platforms like Google or Yelp, where anyone with an account can post about a business whether or not they were ever a customer.
We show the full picture — including the critical reviews
We don't curate reviews to look good. Negative reviews are displayed, not removed — positive, critical, and everything in between, alongside the florist's response where they've left one. A strong average across hundreds of orders means something precisely because we don't hide the misses.
And the reviews are the customer's own: florists cannot pay to remove, hide, or edit their reviews. What you read is what the customer wrote.
No incentives
Customers aren't paid or rewarded for leaving a review. Because only verified purchasers can review in the first place, there's no path for fake, planted, or bought reviews.
How the rating is calculated
A shop's star rating is a straight average of all of its verified-purchase reviews — not a curated or weighted subset.
Real photos of the real arrangement
Customers can attach a photo to their review, so you can often see the actual arrangement that was delivered — not just a stock image. It's verification you can see.
Why this matters
Local florists on BloomNation often hold hundreds or thousands of these purchase-verified reviews — far more than the same shop shows on general review sites, because ours are tied to the orders they actually fulfilled. When you're choosing who to trust with a gift, a sympathy arrangement, or your wedding flowers, that depth of verified, unfiltered feedback is the most honest signal there is.
