Flowers have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a third-generation florist, I grew up surrounded by floral artistry and learned that every arrangement should be created with love, intention, and exceptional attention to detail. Today, I bring that tradition to The House of Flowers, a floral design atelier located in North Potomac, Maryland. We specialize in elegant, handcrafted floral arrangements for birthdays, anniversaries, sympathy, weddings, corporate events, and life’s most meaningful moments. Every flower is carefully selected for its freshness, beauty, and quality, and each design is thoughtfully finished with our signature premium presentation. Rosy Devoto is the owner and Head Designer of The House of Flowers. Originally from Lima, Peru, she is a third-generation florist who grew up surrounded by flowers and learned the art of floral design through a family tradition passed down from generation to generation. Before establishing her floral design atelier in North Potomac, Rosy owned and operated five flower shops in Peru and continued expanding her professional experience while working with florists in Washington, D.C., and Maryland. For Rosy, working with flowers is much more than a profession—it is a true joy and a lifelong passion. She finds inspiration in every creation and designs each arrangement with the same love, care, and attention to detail that she would hope to receive herself. Rosy is known for her elegant floral style, refined color combinations, and beautiful finishing touches. Every floral arrangement and bouquet is carefully wrapped using high-quality materials, coordinated ribbons, and thoughtful details to create a polished, gift-ready presentation. From selecting each flower to completing the final packaging, Rosy personally oversees every element to ensure that each client receives something beautiful, meaningful, and truly special.

Substitution Policy
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.

Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (301) 545-2915, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?
We’d be happy to take care of that for you! Please contact us at (301) 545-2915 and we’ll cancel your subscription right away.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in
advance.
