Our talented team specializes in custom designs for any occasion. We love to support our local growers during the growing season, April to November, highlighting the brilliant blooms that are abundant in lush Central Virginia. Sarah Bowen, Virginia born and raised, started The Dogwood Tree with one goal in mind: to spread joy, beauty, and kindness in the Charlottesville community. With a Master of Education from James Madison University, and several years of floral design experience, Sarah incorporates her valuable knowledge of the human experience and technical design skills to provide personable customer service and exceptional arrangements. Along with her sweet dog, Cooper, Sarah has become a beloved and familiar face with her loyal customers, and is certain to make a new friend with each guest that walks through the door. From classic southern hospitality, to dazzling designs, Sarah is sure to charm all who cross her path.

Substitution Policy
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.

Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (434) 365-9200, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in
advance.
