About Us
Hello! I’m Katelyn. I’m glad you’re here. I am the florist and designer behind Little Shop By The Sea. Based in Newport Beach, CA on the Balboa Peninsula, I create airy, seasonal floral designs and store front featuring eco-friendly, plastic free gifts and products. You will see influences in my work of both bohemian California style and the natural organic qualities seen in English gardens. My studio’s goal is to showcase sustainable floral design by using plastic free and foam free floral techniques, composting, and using seasonal blooms. When I’m not working with flowers, I am playing in the garden, hanging out with my kids, wearing glasses and drinking coffee. My passion for plastic free and eco-friendly living is translated into my technique and design within my work. Thank you for exploring what I have to share. Hi! Thanks for checking out my shop. I have loved floral design for as long as I can remember. I have a Bachelors degree in Visual Arts and overall love for design, art and especially nature. My study of floral design began at the Southern California School for Floral Design almost 10 years ago. I am now back to design work for the past 3 years and love each and every piece I create for customers and wedding and event clients. Whether its a simple bud vase or a full event wedding design, I love to share the love for sustainably design flowers and use as many seasonal and local blooms as I can. Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (949) 662-0111, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in
