I ordered a bouquet with Mylar balloons from Gene’s Rockville Florist to celebrate the birth of my new granddaughter at Shady Grove Medical Center. While the flowers were delivered nicely, the balloons I paid extra for were never included.
I contacted the florist by email four days ago (with full order details and polite request for a refund), but I have not received any response. This was a special occasion, and the missing item made it feel incomplete and disappointing for the family.
I chose this florist based on ChatGPT’s suggestion and their strong online reviews, but unfortunately my experience did not match those expectations. I will be contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge for the missing item.
I hope Gene’s takes customer service more seriously moving forward.

I've had great experiences with this florist before. Until now. I placed the order for 5/28 but it was delivered a week early. We sent the guy away. Then on the correct day (5/28) we didn't hear from them. We called in the morning to confirm but the guy on the phone was a jerk and tried hanging up without answering our questions. Then we didn't even receive the flowers until almost 4pm when the recipient was walking out the door! Insane and bad customer service and we won't be ordering from you guys again which is a shame because the flowers are beautiful.

I am very disappointed in the arrangement. I understand that its a slim chance it will look like the picture, but this was WAY OFF! All the blue hydrangea's were completely wilted and a bunch of the lamb ears were shriveld up and crunchy. I previously emailed you, but have yet to receive the courtesy of a response. The flowers were not delivered until today, Wednesday morning, after I called Gene's to ask about the delivery. This is simply unacceptable. There are many other florists in Rockville. I was very disappointed because I loved the crisp modern image presented to me and what I saw was very traditional and what I was steering away from. So disappointing. And no one answers their phones or replies back to voice messages. I purchased flowers and the large box of mixed chocolates, and the flowers died after two days and the box of chocolates was a $6.99 box of cheap truffles from Trader Joe’s. My girlfriend who I purchased this for, doesn’t even like truffles. I spent $30 on what I was supposed to get of mixed chocolates. No one has replied about the chocolates and I wanted to return them and get a refund. They ended up going in the trash. So this definitely was a bad experience and yet it was my first time too. I will never order again and I recommend you not as well if you want good customer service, high end products and luxurious flowers.

Although the flowers were beautiful, I was very disappointed with the delivery service. I ordered flowers for my sister (in the hospital) the night before I wanted them delivered. I requested a morning delivery, even though I knew it couldn’t be guaranteed. When 4:30 pm arrived and they still had not been delivered, I called the store and was told the flowers were on the truck for delivery. They were FINALLY delivered at 9:30 at night!! This is ridiculous, especially for a hospital delivery. I will not be using this florist again!

The only problem was that the card attached to the flowers was a note of sympathy for the death of my wife's mother. The flowers were intended to for the wedding anniversary of my wife and myself.

Pretty dissatisfied- I was alerted tulips were out of season which is fine and to modify the arrangement to maintain a similar color theme. I received yellow, red, and blue flowers which resulted in a very bizarre arrangement.

It was very disappointing because as of 10PM on Friday the flowers had not been delivered. You had the phone number of the person receiving the flowers and you had my phone number, the person ordering the flowers and neither was contacted if there was a problem with the delivery.
One of the recipients of the flower is leaving for Africa Saturday morning and we hoped that both receivers would see the bouquet.

We received the flowers after scheduled delivery and event. Then the flowers started to wilt and die the next day. Very unfortunate!!!!!!!

Our out of town guest was VERY pleasantly surprised at the taste basket, as was the group that accompanied her. The variety of fruit, cheese, and chocolates was arranged 'tastefully',, no pun intended.
Arriving late in the evening it gave them the added boost of energy they needed.
Gene's Florist has been serving the Rockville Maryland area for at least the last 60 years that I know of .... I used to get my prom and special occasion corsages from Gene's and was grateful they came through for me again.

This is a beautiful bouquet. The bouquet that was delivered looked nothing like this bouquet. The flowers were different and much cheaper and the vase was not what was ordered. Very disappointing!!

The flowers were sent to brighten my daughter’s day, they did just that! They were more beautiful than the picture. She even thought I personally signed the card, it was the perfect touch. I wish I could’ve signed it, living across the country I had to pray they would be as beautiful and as nice as a picture...they far exceeded that. Thank you for making it so beautiful.

Beautiful arrangement and great service! Some of the Hawaiian flowers were not available (I ordered last minute) and they called twice since it was a birthday and they knew it needed to be delivered that day. They substituted additional orchids and calla lilies. The effect was beautiful and tropical in spirit. My sister was delighted.
