I was born in Brooklyn, NY, and after growing up in Queens and Long Island, I’ve spent the past 30 years in sunny South Florida. From a young age, I knew I wanted to run my own business and do something creative. At 17, I found my start at a local florist in Bayside, Queens, and that “job” became the beginning of a 30-year career in flowers and business ownership. I learned the trade from the ground up, worked as a designer at several New York florists, and later moved to Florida in 1990. After two years working with top florists in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, I opened Exceptional Flowers and Gifts in 1992 with support from my parents. In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in
