About Us
Designs by Dolores is a floral design studio that creates floral designs for all occasions. We specialize in custom floral designs for Sympathy arrangements, Weddings, and Private Special Events.
Dolores is a Studio Florist who found her passion for floral design 24 years ago. In 2009, she decided to leave the “Corporate World” and follow her artistic passion for floral design. She started her first company, Fantasy Flowers & More, in 2009 with the help of her family. She was able to carry on for 8 successful years until she and her team (family) relocated to Texas in 2015. While in Texas, she went to work for the local florist as a designer, to continue designing and perfecting her craft.
After 2 years in Texas, she decided to head back to California. Once back in California, she continued to freelance while still working full time; specializing in Weddings and Sympathy work. Her goal has always been to bring every “vision” her clients have to life; from the Bridal bouquet to the Casket Spray. Knowing that her true passion was floral design, in 2020, she started "Designs by Dolores". A floral design studio based out of Palmdale California.
Dolores has had the privilege of providing her talent and services for various clients and functions throughout her community. Everything from the local PTA awards banquets to local City Fundraising events. She's also worked with the local funeral homes to provide low or no-cost sympathy arrangements for families in need. She has recently relocated her business to the Bakersfield area and is looking forward to servicing the city of Bakersfield and it's surrounding areas, providing her floral designs for every event need.

Substitution Policy
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.

Mr. Brown, this sympathy arrangement was not late; it was on time. When I couldn't get a response from you, I spoke with Samarra and the mortuary. Both instructed me to deliver no later than 12 noon, and that's exactly what we did. I'm sorry if you needed it there an hour earlier, but multiple sources instructed me to have it at the mortuary by noon.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
