We’re located in the heart of Barry County and nestled in Downtown Hastings. Barlow Florist has been the go-to florist for multiple generations! We were founded by Eugene and Norma Barlow in 1954, and passed along to their son, Norm Barlow, and his wife, Carole, in 1958. They in turn passed the flower shop down to their son, Carlos Barlow, in 2021. Whatever you want to say, SAY IT WITH FLOWERS! We will use our 70 years of experience to create a beautiful arrangement that will bring joy to any occasion! If flowers aren’t your thing, we also have a wide selection of household plants, blooming plants, and dish gardens. MEMORIAL SERVICES Sending your condolences can be heartbreaking. Allow us to help ease this process by guiding you through how to transform your feelings into your sympathy gift. You can select from appropriate floral arrangements, memorial keepsakes, standing sprays, and casket sprays. Add a personal touch with a sympathy streamer that reflects your relationship with the deceased (“Mother” “Father” “Grandma” “Grandpa” etc). If you don’t see the items that you want or would like to view our sympathy books in store, please call us to set up an appointment to sit down with one of our experienced designers. TUXEDOS Don’t drive all the way to the big cities to get your tuxedos, get them here! You’ll get the same big store tuxedo options at a lower price. You can also use us to get measured and we will send your information to the tuxedo store of your choice. Set up an appointment to view our books or to get measured at least two weeks before the event date. Have a large wedding party? We offer the groom’s tuxedo for FREE if you have five other tuxedo rentals in your group.
In some instances, the florists’ photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated. Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you've selected, the local florist will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.
Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone. Florists that offer same day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences. Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in advance.
