About Us
Established in 1942, the family-owned Bankhead Flower Shop serves New Albany, Mississippi, with a fresh, modern garden style. Led by owner and head designer Hanna Basil, a team of six talented designers brings over 100 years of combined experience to every creation.
Located at 806 Jay Street, the shop crafts custom arrangements for everyday moments, weddings, and special events. They also provide thoughtful sympathy and memorial tributes, offering reliable delivery to local landmarks like United Funeral Service, Serenity-Simmons Funeral Home, and New Albany Funerals and Cremations.
Before becoming the owner and head designer of Bankhead Flower Shop, Hanna was a teacher- a role that shaped her creativity, patience, and love for caring for others. Today, she brings those same qualities to the flower shop.
As a wife and mom to Kenley, Rob and Palmer, Hanna understands how meaningful life's moments can be. She considers it an honor to create flowers for those moments and pours her heart into every arrangement, social media post and wedding.
Hanna is proud to continue Bankhead Flower Shop's legacy.

Substitution Policy
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.
