BloomNation Celebrates 15 Years of Innovation and Putting Florists First

  • September 17, 2026
Fifteen Years, Florists First
The florist-first commerce platform marks a decade and a half with a Southern California florist reception, a recommitment to its founding mission, and reflections from the florists who have grown alongside it.
SANTA MONICA, Calif., September 16, 2026. BloomNation marks 15 years of helping independent florists build thriving businesses on their own terms. On August 26, the company hosted a reception at its Santa Monica headquarters, bringing together florists from across Southern California to celebrate the milestone. Attendees ranged from florists who signed on in the earliest days to shops that joined recently, and a common thread ran through the evening: appreciation for a platform that lets florists work as true artists, supports their individuality, and grows with them.
I joined BloomNation 13 years ago. It’s been amazing to watch the growth, not just theirs as a company, but ours too. BloomNation is way more than a website; it’s a whole system, and I feel like I have an IT team in the palm of my hand. I’m proud to work with a company that actually cares about its florists, not just the bottom line.

BloomNation gives you the opportunity to be yourself as a designer, a creator, a floral curator. You’re not limited to a floral menu, a container, a formula, or a price point. I’m a leader in the industry, a revolutionizer, and so is BloomNation. That’s why it’s the perfect platform for me.
Dalel Snider, Owner, Glendora Florist · Glendora, CA · 12 years with BloomNation
Those years brought a steady run of launches: a point-of-sale built for florists, a full wedding and events solution with proposals and invoicing, and a dedicated Spanish-speaking team serving florists in their own language.
We have done so much in the last 15 years. All the technology we’ve built, all the solutions we’ve brought to market. We’ve changed a lot as a company, but the core value remains the same: help the local florist become independent, help them thrive, and put their business first. This company started as an idea, but florists made it all possible. The florists made BloomNation, and we are grateful for that.

The company has also built tools for a tougher market, including delivery route optimization, a recipe and stem counter, smart shopping lists, and Lili, an AI-powered assistant that helps take orders and answer calls.
We’ve dedicated 15 years of our lives to this. To see a florist hire their first employee, buy their first flower van, buy a home, open a second shop. We’ve seen it all, and it makes it all worthwhile. We started this company with a mission of helping local florists, and we’ve accomplished quite a bit in 15 years. We’ve also learned a lot. The challenges small businesses face today are greater than they have ever been, and we’re excited to take them on alongside our florists.

About BloomNation

BloomNation launched in 2011 with a clear mission: give florists the tools and technology to grow their shops independently, free from wire services and order gatherers, and showcase their own style and artistry rather than force them into cookie-cutter arrangements.

That founding mission has not changed. What has changed is how much the platform now does. BloomNation has built out the entire florist ecosystem, one layer at a time. First came custom websites that showcase each florist’s unique artistry and are known to attract customers, convert them, and drive a high average order value. Next came a point-of-sale built specifically for florists. Then best-in-class marketing services across email, social media, and SMS. Today the platform also includes financing and a full wedding and events solution, running the whole operation in one place.

More than 4,000 florists across North America build their businesses on BloomNation, which has expanded into Canada and acquired Floom, a luxury floral marketplace based in the UK. BloomNation is headquartered in Santa Monica, California. Learn more at www.joinbloomnation.com.
