The Purple Orchid
We are Rachael and Sean and we love to create kick ass floral arrangements with rockstar service for you! We have been creating custom floral designs for residential and commercial clients since 1997. Rachael has been in the floral industry for over 20 years. The floral seeds were planted early in her life, when her late father would have her help with his garden. Her mother also really encouraged her to explore the arts as a young girl. Many weekends were spent doing crafts and going to museums. In high school she started designing florals with silk and dried flowers. After moving to Texas in 1997, she started to learn more about fresh floral design. Since then she moved back to Nebraska and has worked in some of the biggest shops in the state. In 2015 she decided to start her own floral studio with the help of her husband Sean. Sean has been in the commercial design business since 1992. We both love Nebraska History and are passionate about making our own little mark on it by serving the people of Omaha. We are located in Bellevue. Here, we have created a fun and young retail flower shop that has a vintage feel but is far from your grandma’s old brick and mortar flower shop. It has been a beautiful and rewarding journey since we've opened our doors, and we are excited that we are only growing and getting better. It has been our honor to create some of the most breathtaking floral arrangements that you'll ever see. We have received many awards for our work including Bellevue Chamber of Commerce the Small Business of the Year, Better Business Bureau Honor Roll, Sarpy County Peoples Choice Awards, and The Readers Choice Best of the Big O. We do what we do like no one else does. You can find other florist in town but we offer Rockstar service for our customers for both fresh and artificial flower arrangements. The flowers look very good. However there was a ig problem with the attached card. It read "Love" Robert. I explicity asked that it read "From" Robert. This has caused some misunderstanding that I have to clear up. Shana is merely a friend. We don't have a romantic relationship. Thefore, stating "Love" was inappropriate as it intimated that more than friendship was intended. I am now left to explain that there is no "Love" intended.

The arrangement was very pretty and the colors were wonderful. But I feel it's too small for the price. I don't quite see the value. I'm also disappointed in the freshness of the flowers. They were delivered Saturday afternoon and by the time I arrived on Tuesday for a visit fully half of the flowers were wilted and drooping (and nearly dead). That's why I rated the experience a 2.

My aunt loved the flowers! Thank you for delivering them to her on her 93rd birthday.
However, I had requested that you phone her before delivery, to ensure that she would be home and aware that you would be coming.
I also asked that the delivery person ring the doorbell and then wait a minute to allow her time to reach the door - it's a split-level house, and she has mobility issues. And her hearing isn't the best - hence the request for a phone call so she would be alerted to the impending delivery.
The delivery person simply left the flowers outside the door on a bench. Fortunately, my aunt was entertaining two friends who had dropped by. One of them went outside to her car, and found the flowers on the bench. If she hadn't, the flowers might have been left outdoors all that day and perhaps into the next.
So please ensure in the future that consideration is made of these old folks who love to receive flowers, but can't easily walk, nor hear well (they don't always put their hearing aids into their ears!).

I am not familiar with the area because I live on the East coast, so I was leery of what may be delivered. I was stunned when I received a picture of what was delivered. I have never purchased an arrangement online that was almost identical to the photo. I say “almost” because it was actually BETTER than the photo. Absolutely gorgeous!! The wonderful people at The Purple Orchid are great! They were dealing with no power, due to a blizzard the day before, and communicating was a little difficult for them. The arrangement was beautiful when it arrived. The roses wilted immediately though. The rest of the arrangement stayed nice. I'm thinking the rose stems may have been cut too short and were not in the water at all. The yellow mums are still looking nice.

Example pic had mostly flowers (great fall colors), pretty fillers, not much greenery, but the actual product was sparsley populated, lots of greenery and had multiple red roses that didnt blend well with other few flowers. Confirmation delivery email was rec'd about 5:30pm, which is pretty late in the day for a delivery ordered well ahead of time. Perhaps it was just the email that was late, and not the delivery.

This flower shop took too many liberties to substitute flowers and leaves, resulting in a final arrangement that looks little like what i ordered. Inquiring on this has turned into unfriendly emails sent my way during this difficult week we are mourning the loss of a loved one. I have ordered many flower arrangements in my life and never had such difficulty getting what i ordered and then treated so poorly. Basically you should only place an order for colour scheme because as was explained to me, they are not amazon and if you want the arrangement you see on the website, it is the customer's obligation to phone the store and check they can make it.

I received the Forever Rose Globe as a gift and realized that the color wasn't even close to the color options listed on the website: Red, Royal Blue, Purple, Rainbow, Hot Pink. The color I received was a strange yellowish color. Obviously this isn't one of the choices listed that one could have chosen from. The website does make it clear that: Designers choice in Color unless specified. However, it is a bit confusing as to when during the online ordering process one would make the selection of a specific color. Also when I called and spoke to ... they literally repeated 3 times how it was their choice as to what color was delivered, but not once took responsibility that it clearly this wasn't one of the color choices they offer. I even told her that the research I did indicated the item is most likely old. Still no offer to make it right. Just told me that the sun does shine through the windows in the shop :(
I've included the instructions so that perhaps they can make sure what they sell in the future is up to the standard one expects when placing an online order.

REFRESH YOUR ROSE GLOBE CENTERPIECE
1) Turn the globe upside down and remove the rubber band, or ribbon, from the decorative wrapping.
2) Remove the wrapping.
3) Gently remove the rubber base with the rose attached.
4) Rinse off the rose and base and set aside.
5) Empty the globe of the water, wash, and rinse.
6) Fill the globe with fresh water, 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar, and 5 drops of chlorine bleach.
7) Gently put the rubber base back on.
8) To remove air bubbles, submerge the globe, upside down, in some container filled with water such as a large bowl or bucket. Open the rubber base a little bit to allow air to escape. Do this until all the air is out of the globe and then tighten the base again.
9) Replace the decorative wrapping and rubber bands around the base.

The arrangement that was delivered to my wife was purple not pink. Thankfully she liked the purple but after seeing what I did purchase she would have liked the pink. There was nothing I could do once I was home from work because by than you were all closed. The flowers themselves didn't last long, they all died within 36 hours and the smell from changing the water twice a day made you gag. There was brown I'm not sure what growing on all the stems. Even after we cleaned them and gave them fresh water by the end of the day the water stank once more and the brown growth was back. I do apologize for taking so long to say something because honestly I'm upset with myself that I didn't just pick it up for her and instead had one delivered. And as for the chocolate I guess I just thought it would have been something a little more high end for the price I paid for everything.

The bouquet had most of the same elements, but was missing some of the tulips and it was not arranged as well -- it lacked the balance of the photograph. (For instance, all of the plastic eggs were in one spot on the right side.) There was no purple at all -- not irises or tulips. Also, most of the flowers did not look fresh - they were wilting by the time my mother received it (she photographed it as soon as it arrived). It was only 'okay', barely. Definitely not worth the $75 it cost me. :(

My experience rates a very low mark. I can not comment on the arrangement as it was never delivered. I was told that the recipient was not home. When I talked to the person doing the delivery he said he was to far away to go back and that the arrangement would be put in the cooler and could be picked up on Tuesday. Why would I want an arrangement that is 5 or 6 days old? If he returned to the florists to place the arrangement in the cooler why didn't he try and redeliver it as the recipient lives a very short distance from the florists. I said I would come and pick it up and was told that they were closed. Was any effort made to leave the arrangement with a neighbor? Also NO note was left telling the recipient that a delivery was attempted and what they could do to get it. I was also notified that the delivery HAD BEEN MADE so I did not bother to contact the recipient to see if it had been delivered, also she was home at the time you said the delivery had been made. I am very disappointed.

I wanted to send my cousin purple birthday flowers. I went by the image and was totally let down. Purple is her favorite color and she is currently battling the big C. I wanted something to brighten her eyes when she saw it. What I got was not it at all. That was $110.00 of drab.

Was delivered to the correct place, on the right day and it was same day delivery. When the recipient got the flowers, the full message wasn’t on the card which made her not know who it was from. For a deluxe bouquet I was expecting a little more. I’m curious to see what the $15 dollar bouquet looks like if the one I bought was $30. Flowers were pretty, and none were wilted by the time the recipient got home 4 hours later. Still look good today.

The flowers for their pandemic special were sold in three tiers, a standard, deluxe, and premium. Despite paying for the $30 deluxe bouquet the flowers included was a bit anemic. There were three roses and a sunflower that were pretty but there wasn’t much in the way of flowers to fill out the rest of the bouquet.

Ordered a deluxe bouquet for my daughter's birthday, paid the extra 20 to deliver, all total $85, without a vase. Went to my daughter's house later and there was the smallest bouquet, it literally fit inside a 20 oz water bottle. It only had maybe two roses and the rest daisies and filler. Reached out directly to the florist to express my disappointment after spending so much and receiving so little, that was 7:45 on 7/29 and I have yet to get a response, but they have definitely received the message because messenger shows it read that evening. Apparently it was not that important.
Sadly we were looking for a small local florist to do my daughter's wedding in October, based on previous pictures I thought purple orchid would be a good fit, but not so much.

Not the best experience. Flowers were not delivered in timely manner. Suppose to go to office, but office closed at 5. Luckily they called and delivered to her residence at 6:00. Not impressed with flower arrangement. Not able to see photo before ordering. Very small arrangement for being a deluxe order. Not the best looking flowers I have ordered. Not sure I will be using this service again in the future.

Isn't this a great idea? When Life Gives You Lemons was the perfect gift for a loved one recently. The Purple Orchid even put fresh lemon slices in the water, and there were lemon ornaments in the arrangement itself. It was well received and photos were taken of it and posted on Facebook (nice, huh?). They liked it alot! I would send this again without hesitation.
