The Flower Cart, Inc. is a second-generation, family-owned Baltimore florist proudly serving our community since 1961. What started as a small flower shop in the Hamilton neighborhood has blossomed into a trusted local business with deep roots in the city. Our original shop opened at 5230 Harford Rd, and in 1987, we expanded to a second location inside Johns Hopkins Hospital.
We specialize in fresh, handcrafted floral designs for all of life’s moments—from custom sympathy arrangements to bright, cheerful hand-tied bouquets. Our experienced floral designers take pride in creating thoughtful, artfully arranged flowers for birthdays, anniversaries, get well wishes, holidays, and more.
Looking for flower delivery in Baltimore? We offer same-day flower delivery throughout Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, and Howard County. Orders placed by 2 p.m. are eligible for same-day delivery to most neighborhoods in the area.

Substitution Policy

In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.

Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.

If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.

Delivery Policy

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee. Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient's time zone.

Refund Policy

Refunds are processed immediately. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

How will I receive a new bouquet?

Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

How often will I be billed?

You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.

How do I make changes to my subscription plan?

You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.

Can I pause my subscription plan?

Yes, you can! contact us at (410) 426-3545, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.

How do I cancel my subscription plan?

We’d be happy to take care of that for you! Please contact us at (410) 426-3545 and we’ll cancel your subscription right away.

The vase received was not the same one in the photo. For the amount of money and fees paid, it was not acceptable. The flowers were beautiful. We could have gotten a floor basket or I could have used a vase and brought flowers and made what we received. Disappointed, will not use this company again.

A special shout out to the young lady who delivered the roses. Because the plastic box would not stay closed, she wraped it in paper so the lid did not fly out. Very thoughtful and pleasant.

No one from the shop has called to apologize or provide an update about either order.

The flowers were very pretty. The delivery person was very lazy. He took the flowers to the nurses station and said the person in the room refused delivery. People were in the room at all times and he had not attempted to deliver them. Luckily one of the nurses notice they were for my sister and save them from being given away or thrown out.

The lady that helped me was very nice but the computer was acting up. It would not let her put my information in. She had to keep getting help, Finally she wrote my information down and said she would finish putting it in later. She told me that she was going to put a white bow on the arrangement, when I arrived at the funeral there was no bow. I was a little upset because the bow would have set the arrangement off. Someone needs to get the computer in order, so the employees can better serve the customers. If I recall the last time I ordered a plant there was issues with the computer.

I think her name was Tanika who waited on me. She was really nice and helpful. 5 stars for her. However, my corsage looks really bad. It's flat, the roses are withered and it just is not pretty. I was unaware of the shipping process when ordering flowers, so I assumed that what I ordered would be what I got, and I guess if I was having it delivered locally, it wouldn't had been a problem. However, since it was going out of state, (South Carolina), you all work with other florists in the area in "hopes" of duplicating my order. That did not happen, and in fact, I don't know what was shipped or what it looks like, (you all nor the florist was able to show me the substitution). I guess moving forward, my advice would be for you all to let customers know, (website), that if we are ordering flowers to ship out of state, that you all work with local florists and our orders are subject to change.
