Sanctuary Floral is a Denver design studio where artistry, emotion, and the natural world come together to mark life’s moments. Meet Stephan Ross Owner & Floral Designer, Sanctuary Floral For Stephan, flowers are a form of storytelling. With a background in theater, set design, interior design, visual merchandising, and education, he brings a design-forward approach to floristry—focusing on color, movement, texture, and emotion rather than standard arrangements. This perspective shaped Sanctuary Floral. Based in Denver, Sanctuary Floral is an independent studio creating expressive, one-of-a-kind floral designs for everyday moments, weddings, celebrations, sympathy, corporate spaces, and events. Stephan blends premium blooms with unexpected botanical elements, crafting arrangements that feel natural, collected, and intentional—not formulaic. There are no preset recipes or upsells for the sake of size. Each design is guided by the person, the moment, and the feeling behind it, tailored to both vision and budget. Substitution Policy
In some instances, our photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated.
Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you’ve selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal value or higher value.
If any design elements are of major importance to your order, please include them in the florist instructions at checkout or contact us to ensure availability.
Delivery Policy
At Sanctuary Floral, every arrangement is thoughtfully designed and carefully prepared for delivery. We want your flowers to arrive beautifully, safely, and as close to your requested delivery time as possible.
Delivery Area
Sanctuary Floral delivers throughout the Denver metro area and select surrounding communities. Delivery availability and fees are based on the recipient’s ZIP code and distance from our design studio. Deliveries outside our standard service area may be available by special arrangement. Additional delivery charges may apply. There is a flat delivery fee of $20.00.
Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are calculated based on location, distance, and the nature of the delivery. Larger installations, weddings, corporate orders, and special-event deliveries may require a separate delivery and setup fee. Delivery fees are non-refundable once a delivery attempt has been made.
Same-Day Delivery
Same-day delivery may be available for orders placed early enough in the day and is subject to flower availability and our delivery schedule. Because each Sanctuary Floral arrangement is individually designed, we cannot guarantee same-day service on every order. During holidays and high-volume periods, advance ordering is strongly recommended.
Delivery Times
We will make every reasonable effort to deliver on the requested date. Standard deliveries are generally made during normal daytime delivery hours. While customers may request a preferred delivery window, specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed unless a timed delivery has been arranged in advance.
Orders for funerals, memorial services, weddings, businesses, and scheduled events receive special consideration when a specific service or event time is provided.
Recipient Availability
Please provide the recipient’s complete name, delivery address, apartment or suite number when applicable, and a working telephone number. If the recipient is unavailable, Sanctuary Floral may, when appropriate:
Leave the arrangement in a safe and protected location.
Leave the arrangement with a receptionist, concierge, front desk, neighbor, or authorized staff member.
Contact the recipient or purchaser for delivery instructions.
Return the arrangement to the studio if there is no safe location for the flowers.
We will not leave flowers outdoors when weather conditions, temperature, security concerns, or other circumstances could damage the arrangement. Apartments, Condominiums & Gated Communities Customers are responsible for providing all necessary gate codes, building access instructions, apartment numbers, and recipient contact information.
If our driver cannot gain access to the property, the delivery may need to be rescheduled and an additional delivery fee may apply.
Hospitals, Hotels & Care Facilities
Before ordering, we recommend confirming that the facility accepts floral deliveries. Some hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted-living facilities, hospice centers, and other healthcare facilities restrict flowers in certain units.
Sanctuary Floral cannot be responsible when a facility refuses an arrangement or redirects the delivery according to its own policies.
For hotel deliveries, please provide the guest’s full name and, when available, the reservation name and room number.
Business Deliveries
Flowers delivered to businesses may be left with reception, security, front-desk staff, or another authorized employee.
Please provide the business name, suite number, department, and recipient’s telephone number whenever possible.
Funeral & Memorial Deliveries
Please provide the name of the deceased, funeral home or venue, service date, and service time. We strongly recommend placing funeral and memorial orders in advance so that arrangements can be delivered prior to the service.
Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. If an incorrect or incomplete address results in an unsuccessful delivery, an additional delivery fee may be required before another attempt is made. Orders delivered to the address provided by the purchaser are considered successfully fulfilled.
Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances
Colorado weather can occasionally affect delivery schedules. Severe snow, ice, extreme temperatures, road closures, accidents, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond our control may delay a delivery. When conditions are unsafe, Sanctuary Floral reserves the right to adjust the delivery schedule to protect our drivers and the flowers. We will make every reasonable effort to communicate significant delivery changes.
Holiday Deliveries
Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other major holidays are extremely busy delivery periods.
During these times:
Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
Delivery windows may be extended.
Same-day delivery may be limited or unavailable.
Early ordering is strongly encouraged.
Floral Substitutions
Flowers are seasonal and availability changes throughout the year. If a specific bloom or variety is unavailable, Sanctuary Floral may make a thoughtful substitution of comparable quality, color, style, and value while maintaining the overall character of the design.
Because our work is floral artistry, each arrangement is naturally unique.

Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in
advance.
