Since 1971, Ken Miesner's Flower Shoppe has been THE destination for discerning shoppers looking to find the finest flowers anywhere in St. Louis. Our traditions of excellence, superior design, and service continue to be our defining hallmarks. The shop is a frequent finalist for customer choice polls and is proud to have been awarded the "Platinum List 2022 Best Florist in St. Louis" category winner. A BRIEF HISTORY Founded in 1952, the shop (Under it's original name of Henderson's Flowers) was located in the very fashionable West End of St. Louis. Euclid Avenue bustled with residents of the area and shoppers from all over the region. Well-established families lived in nearby houses built for the 1904 World's Fair. Luxury apartments and The St. Louis Cathedral were all close neighbors to the shop. Mr. Henderson was ready to pass his shop on to its next owner. That's when Ken Miesner stepped in to take on the shop and its well-heeled customers. Large events and weddings were specialties of the shop, and Ken's reputation for accepting nothing less than the best became his trademark. Shortly after purchasing the shop on Euclid, Ken was approached by Plaza Frontenac about moving his shop to the soon-to-open mall. Located in St. Louis County, the mall was going to be like nothing else in the region. With flagship stores Sak's Fifth Avenue and Nieman Marcus as anchors, Ken realized the time was right to move his operation. His loyal customers followed and were thrilled by his new location. Antiques, art, statuary, rugs, lamps, and his beloved King Charles Spaniels were a huge draw for many new customers as well. The shop continued to grow and enjoyed many years of success. Galas, weddings, and high profile events were the backbone of the shop. Known for his exquisite taste, his arrangements were regarded as the gold standard of design for any and all occasions. In 2016, after having spent 40 plus years operating his shop, Ken Miesner was ready to pass the torch on to a new designer. With the sterling reputation of the establishment in mind, Ken knew he had to find just the right person who could continue the traditions of his beloved enterprise. Thankfully, the right person did indeed come along. David J. Bovier was ready to take on the mantle as the proprietor of Ken Miesner's Flower Shoppe. With the promise of continuing the long traditions held by the shop and of the customers themselves, the torch was passed. Today, the shop ensures each order is filled with the same exacting care and expertise Ken would have used. Nothing is ever compromised. Only the finest flowers, designed by the most talented designers in St. Louis, ever leave the shop. A one-of-a-kind place, Ken Miesner's Flower Shoppe is truly special.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
