Gateway Florist, owned by Kent and Tina, Cooksey is located on the family's 130- acre farm in La Plata, Md. We were originally located in Waldorf, Md., for 17 years and moved to our family's farm in 2007. The farm, which is called Fair Fountain Farm, was originally owned by Frank and Grace Cooksey (Kent's grandparents). They historically raised tobacco along with vegetables and livestock to feed their large family. Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone. Florists that offer same day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
