I recently purchased a flower arrangement for my dear friend that celebrated her 60 birthday from flower talk in Duluth GA and I'm beyond pleased. I live in Toronto Canada and usually I like going in person to place my orders but this time I took my chances by reading the reviews and also with getting assistance from the kind lady at the store, who took the time to listen to what I wanted and then made suggestions and even sent me a picture before sending it to my friend. I ordered this for my employer’s wife for Valentine’s Day so it was very important that she liked it. There are six roses pictured here but I upgraded the order to a full dozen. There were some time constraints around delivery, but Flower Talk more than exceeded my expectations by delivering it within an hour of the time I placed the online order. The bouquet was simply beautiful. So much so that my employer actually contacted me to thank me and let me know that they both loved the flowers. Horrible arrangement! I chose this florist because the reviews stated that you got what was pictured. I have a go to florist but in a different location and wanted to use a floral shop close to the funeral home.

I chose an arrangement that had purple orchids in it. That was the entire draw to me for this floral arrangement.

On the morning of the delivery to the 2:00 pm. service, my office got a call stating that this florist did not have the purple orchids and they wanted permission to send an all-white arrangement. My personal assistant of over 10 years knows me well. She advised them to call my cell and speak to me directly as she did not believe I would want all white.

No one called me. There were no missed calls, no texts or any messages on my I-phone. I saw an email AFTER the time for delivery in which it states that the arrangement would be all white.

I responded knowing it was too late. I felt certain that if they had to deviate from what I requested that they would have used an equivalent or better flower and that they would have made it larger by using more stems. I get to the Memorial and I am ABSOLUTELY EMBARRASSED at what was sent! It was the cheapest, drab, no style, no artistic flare there with no orchids or any flower that would have been an equivalent in cost, quality or style! When I got very close to it, I could see a few very, very pale blue "steph". (That is the word they used in their email). That is an extremely common flower that can be found in bouquets at Kroger or Publix. I could have purchased a prettier arrangement at either of these places for 1/2 of the cost.

The arrangement was not even the shape of the one in the photo. And in a misrepresentation the florist sent a picture of the arrangement that they have in the photo on their website to my email indicating that was what was sent. The email stated something to the effect that your order has been delivered and showed the desired arrangement that I did NOT get. It did not show a picture of what was actually sent.

If they had made efforts to reach me at my cell number as my assistant instructed them AND if they had upped the quality of the substitution, I would have been pleased. I would have had no problem with an all white floral design had it been tastefully and artistically designed and had white orchids in it instead of the purple.

But that is NOT what I got.

The only other fact that readers should know is that the order was placed shortly after 5:00 p.m. on the day before the funeral. Their closing time according to the internet was 6:00 p.m.

To be fair, they did not have a lot of time before the service to get the order prepared and delivered. However, if they had time to call and talk to my assistant about the order, they could have called me. And I plainly gave them my cell number as the contact number not only on the order form but also on the account that I set up. When setting up the account, an office number was asked for otherwise I would have never even put it down. Like so many people today, I am not in my office frequently and the best way is my cell.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they were in a hurry and didn't notice that the contact number on the order was not the number they called. Where they lost me as a customer was by not following the clear and persistent instructions from my assistant to call my cell and of course the cell was provided. She even told them she knew how important this was to me and if they did not get me in the first attempt, to keep trying.

We all make mistakes. I do not judge a person or a business by a mistake, but by how they rectify the problem. When I returned from the Memorial service on late Friday around 5:30 p.m., I emailed them to tell them of my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction. A whole 24 hours has gone by and I have received NO response. So sadly that is the end of this unhappy story.

While beautiful, they were not worth the $70 I paid. I went to Publix and bought something similar for $15, better presentation without the price tag. The flowers were held together with a zip tie that broke the stems of the baby's breathe and made the stems of the roses very weak. This was my second order with Flower Talk and my last ;(

While the flowers were delivered on the day requested and technically followed the general design of the bouquet selected, they were a bit overblown in general, with the red roses already passing their prime and the hydrangias bigger & a bit overwhelming, and not enough green filler to balance them. I was dissatisfied with the outcome of the floral arrangement. First of all, there were zero peach/orange color roses. All the roses were red. Secondly, I paid for the deluxe flowers, and the picture the couple sent did not meet my expectations.

I ordered a premium sunflower bouquet for my son for his girlfriend and his anniversary. They were so beautiful. She didn’t even want to unpack them into a vase but they were still amazing after she did. The ONLY thing I would maybe change is the text to the recipient to let her know the delivery was on the way to make sure she’s home. It may have been because I asked for them to be delivered the soonest possible that day. I think it’s a great idea but I will put my number next time to answer since it kind of gave away the surprise of the flowers. Still did NOT take away from her happiness. This is the first time I’ve used Flower Talk because of the reviews and I will most definitely use them again in the future.

Flowers were ordered the morning of the day of a very special birthday and were delivered no problem. Birthday girl said the yellow rose arrangement was BEAUTIFUL and brought fond memories of her father who use to send them on birthdays. Ordering, check out and delivery all went very smooth. Something especially nice to have since I don't live in the area.

I have used Flower Talk on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. My wife is a teacher in Duluth, I work 90 miles away, I always ask for a custom-made Flower arrangement and ask that they make display "awe-inspiring" so that all the other husbands feel the pain when their teacher wives come home after witnessing another peer receiving flowers "JUST BECAUSE" from her husband! First time using Flower Talk. I was not disappointed. I heard it was a beautiful arrangement, full of colorful, fresh, flowers. I was also extremely happy with the service. The first delivery ended up, unknowingly, that the recipient was out of town. Flower Talk took the arrangement back, and delivered a fresh arrangement the following week!!! I'm sorry but you did not meet my expectations. My flowers don't look half as lovely as the picture shown to the left. I chose this arrangement and even upgraded to the premium because I love the purple and red contrast. There are none and I repeat, no vivid purple flowers. My arrangement looks like it sat for days. Not happy.
