The Burgundy rubber plant is home to the tropical rainforests of South and Southeast Asia and is often regarded as a durable plant able to withstand unfavorable conditions. It features dark green leaves that possess a thick rubbery glossy sheen and deep reddish variegation.
In addition to their attractive appearance and air-purifying properties, rubber plants are relatively easy to care for. They prefer warm temperatures and well-draining soil that is kept evenly moist, but not soggy. They should be fertilized once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced fertilizer.

While sitting outdoors on the rocking chair with her abuela Carmela, she has fond memories of her grandmother taking in slow deep breaths and often asked, “Do you smell the flowers?” That is where her love for flowers began. She has been arranging flowers for over 20 years, at family gatherings, sweet sixteens, bridal showers, baby showers, weddings, and Bar Mitzvahs. She has a certificate in Interior Design, attended floral arrangement and professional balloon decorating workshops. I consider myself a lifelong learner and am always eager to learn new and innovative ways to expand our business. Meet Lizette Lizette has over 20 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition supporting industries such as government contracting, aerospace, market research and media. She enjoyed her career but decided to take a leap and explore her creative side with her mother who has always been such a great source of inspiration. Watching her mother take dull rooms and transform them into beautiful masterpieces. When Lizette isn’t creating flowers you can find her spending quality time with her charismatic daughter, partner, and dog.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
