Meet Armine Mnatsakanian, the owner and creative force behind Belden’s Florist, a cherished Palm Beach tradition since 1906 and winner of Best of West Palm Beach 2025. 🌸

When Armine took ownership in 2005, she inherited more than a century-old shop and embraced her calling. Originally from Armenia, she came to the United States 35 years ago with her husband and a three-month-old baby, without speaking a word of English.

With a background in biology and a deep love for flowers, Armine’s husband bought her the flower shop as a gift of faith in her passion. She learned everything from the ground up, from taking phone orders and speaking English to mastering floral design. Entirely self-taught, Armine turned that small act of faith into a flourishing career, building one of the most beloved flower shops in South Florida.

At Belden’s Florist, every arrangement is handcrafted with care and intention. Armine believes that flowers are an emotional language, a way to bring color and meaning to life’s most special moments. Her work is known for its elegance, balance, and soul, and floral designs that tell a story.
