Donna and Bob Hunn, Barb Ippolito, Betty Vogt

Donna and Bob Hunn are the owners and designers of Avon Floral World, Gift Shoppe, & Flower Delivery. Donna has an A.A.S. Degree in Floriculture Merchandising. Bob attended Hixon's School of Floral Design and is an FTD Master Designer. Bob also has an A.A.S.degree in H.V.A.C and Refrigeration and a B.S. in Business. Donna and Bob each have over 20 years of experience in floral design and flower shop management. Barb is the shop manager and specializes in customer service, She has a degree in office administration and over 25 years experience serving Avon Floral World, Gift Shoppe, and Flower Delivery customers. The flowers were very pretty but I paid over $100 for a very small container with fall colored flowers in it. The picture on the website was very deceiving. I felt like my family would be represented with a big beautiful floral bouquet from a flower shop recommended by my family members. I was so disappointed. I felt like spending over $100, upgrading to deluxe and calling the shop directly, not using a 1-800 flower shop I’d be very pleased, but sadly no.

Avon flower world exceeded my expectations! I called before they opened, and they answered the phone. Found out the night before of the service for my uncle and they were able to make the arrangement for me and get it to the church by 10:00. God bless this company they deserve your business!

4 stars only because automated system was confusing. Order placed April8 paid for next day delivery for April 9 or so I thought since that is what automated system showed. When by 9.09 pm April 9 nothing delivered and no notice of why only an automated email that it was delivered and to write review. Let me clarify this was NOT a flower delivery but a giftset for a child--little llama dishset. April 10 when the shop opened in New York, and I was still asleep in Las Vegas (time difference) the owner immediately called me responding to emails and phone messages I left (for some reason I was not thinking about time difference and that actual shop is in NY) the day before. The owner was very very nice and explained everything in detail: 1. the time difference 2. this was not flower delivery but gift set 3. about automated system that caused confusion on my part 4. the gift set is shipped through mail and should arrive on Saturday as per USPS estimate. She was very courteous to and patient with his old woman who constantly struggles with on-line orders and new technologies. I look forward to receiving my gift set Saturday.
In the meantime, I would recommend this shop strongly. I would also suggest that aside from automated e-mail, please call the shop directly to find out more information. They will be very kind, patient and helpful, like they were with me.

Counter person taking my order really did not pay attention to my wishes nor did she explain the arrangement types and sizes to me. She said her is what we have. Looking inside the glass I saw Flowers. Very nice indeed but basically all on display that were not arranged. She said I could do this for you, and showed me two of two arrangements in the bottom right corner. I said ok but I need yellow roses. I asked how many would I get? She said 3. I said I want 4. She said ok.
I got 2 :( Not happy. Flowers were beautiful but I did not receive what I wanted.

I was very satisfied with the cardinal sympathy arrangement I sent to a relative in Avon. It was exactly as pictured on their website and the delivery was attempted when requested but my sister in law didn’t answer the door. Avon Floral were going to deliver it the next day, a Saturday, but my brother in law picked it up at the shop as he was going by.

Always call a local florist in the town where you want flowers sent. You will get great service and a nicer arrangement because an online service isn’t charging them for the referral.

Hi, I was wondering if something can be done about the arrangement that I had sent to my mom yesterday. I thought I had seen that there were a few more red flowers in the display, and when I saw the one she received, I was really disappointed. There was way too much white, and I wouldn't have chosen that one if it looked like that in the display case. I see that the one she got does look like its picture, but I really do believe that the one I saw yesterday in the store had two different types of red flowers. I also know that sometimes places run out of flowers, and I do appreciate you being able to deliver it yesterday on kind of short notice, but can anything be done about this? I think I paid a little over seventy dollars, and I'm actually kind of sad about this.

I was very pleased with the floral arrangement I ordered for my granddaughter. As a young preteen she has a discerning eye for color and design. When I ordered the flowers to cheer her up as she recovers from adenoid and tubal surgery, I told the florist to create a unique and interesting design for her, knowing she would appreciate the thought and effort. She loved it! She sent me a picture and I was very impressed. It was the first time I have ordered from Avon Floral World, and I will do so again!

My dear friend Mary Brinkerhoff lost her husband of nearly 59 years recently. With Covid and the crazy air lines canceling flights, the weird weather across the country, which would make driving from North Carolina to Livonia NY not exactly desirable in the winter, we were unable to attend Bert's services. I thought it best to wait a few weeks to send the flowers to Mary to express our sympathies. We've lived in NC for nearly 25 years and I used to call Pittsford Florist but have been disappointed with the arrangements. I met (via phone) a lovely, gracious lady named Betty, who was very helpful; the flowers are very beautiful, (Mary texted me a picture) & I am thrilled.Thank you! I am a fan!

And there were on about 8 small yellow flowers and the plants were not very distinctive. Also the card read All where is should have said Al This person was very important to me and for 100.00 plus delivery and tax. The flowers did not live up to expectations. Very disatisfied

The arrangement made for me was indeed beautiful, however, not exactly what I had ordered. White hydrangea and not purple, I asked for no Gerber daisy and lily's, which was followed, but I didn't like the calla lilies. The arrangement I choose on the website was totally different from the one that was sent to the funeral. Again, although pretty, not what I asked for. The Garden Gala online is stunning, not what I received.

the piece was beautiful and received alot of compliments. But it was far off the arrangement I had requested. I specifically said he was military and wanted red white and blue as center point. with red and white roses to complete. The piece did have roses in it but nothing absolutely nothing to represent military. I definitely will not recommend your establishment for specialty arrangements but will for pictured arrangements. Our military family respects all military personnel especially giving honors upon their death. That is what I looked for and was not honored.

I am adding an update to this review. There was a computer glitch for this order which is why the flowers delivered were different from the arrangement I ordered. This is completely understandable. The arrangement was gorgeous and l will definitely be ordering from here again. My compliments to the staff who offered to send another arrangement, which I declined because my daughter-in-law loves the arrangement she received. Thank you again!!

The flowers were beautiful, however they were not the arrangement that I ordered. I asked for the Tulip Treasures and was told that was available and would be sent. Instead the simple treasures was sent. My daughter-in-law loved them and that’s all that really matters. Thank you!!

I was not pleased with my purchase. The flowers appeared old and withered. When the funeral director pulled roses out of the spray so that family members could put them on the casket at the cemetery they looked almost dead. Very disappointed!!! The spray looked like it had been assembled a very long time ago.

The shop did not have several of the flowers pictured in the arrangement I chose from the website. Although the arrangement was nice, it was a little more like a wedding arrangement than a birthday arrangement and did not look like the arrangement ordered.
But the shop made a diligent effort to contact me and to fill the order as well as it could with the flowers it had. The website seems to need a notation about the limited/seasonal availability of a number of its arrangements, including those with lilies.
Be sure to call to check whether the shop has the flowers you want rather than just ordering online.

I am writing from Atlanta GA. Yesterday I wanted to send a dish garden to my sister-in-law in Rochester who recently had surgery and was in a rehab center. I went to an unnamed online flowers site and made my selection. After putting in all information I was told that my selection was unavailable at that zipcode. I tried another choice and then another and another, getting the same error message. Then I called their phone number and a live person told me they could only deliver cut flowers to that address. After thanking her and hanging up, I Googled a local florist and chose Avon Floral World. I spoke to Bob, the owner, and explained my problem. He was wonderful. He telephoned the rehab center and found that they DID accept dish gardens for their patients. He helped me make my selection and it was delivered as promised yesterday afternoon. My sister-in-law LOVES it! It was just perfect. In these days of COVID things are difficult. Bob was fantastic. He went out of his way to provide great service that was tailored to my specific need. Was not very happy at all. I chose this arrangement because my mothers dog looks exactly the same. She sent me the picture because we can not see each other due to Covid. It looked horrible. There was no nose, it looked like a messy arrangement of white flowers barely any colored ones as shown. The money I spent was definitely not worth and and will never come again.
