Jorge Uribe AIFD, CFD, EMC has dedicated over 20 years to the professional floral industry and is the creative force behind Urban Floral LLC in Wolcott, CT. His extensive experience encompasses a diverse range of occasions, including weddings, events, parties, funerals, and destination weddings. Fueled by an insatiable curiosity, Jorge continually seeks to learn and experiment, skillfully manipulating various elements to elevate his floral designs. Jorge's talent has been recognized repeatedly at the North East Floral Competition, where he achieved remarkable accolades: 3rd place and the People’s Choice Award in 2006, 4th place in 2007, 2nd place in 2008, and 4th place in 2009. His standout year was 2010, when he captured 1st place; he earned 3rd place at the Master’s Competition in 2012 and took home the title of Designer of the Year, along with the People’s Choice Award, in both 2013 and 2015. Moreover, he won the People’s Choice Award in 2016 and again in 2017, reinforcing his status as a top designer. Jorge proudly represented Colombia at the Gateway to the America’s Cup in 2016, where he secured 1st place in the Bridal Bouquet category of the Smithers-Oasis Cup and 2nd place in the fashion category of the Florist’s Review Cup. He continued his representation in 2018 at the same event in Orlando and competed at the FTD America’s Cup in Washington D.C., where he was the 1st runner-up of the Design Challenge International in 2020. In July 2018, Jorge was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers and completed his European Master Certification (EMC) studies in Belgium that September. By 2020, he had joined the core team of the European Master Certification School, EMC, taking on the roles of Teacher and Coach.

This past weekend we had a wake and memorial service for our mother at The Woodtick Memorial in Wolcott and Jorge of Urban Floral was recommended by a friend. We met with Jorge and described what we wanted and had seen on the FTD pages. After explaining that he couldn't get the heart shaped base to build upon but promising a spray of flowers that would express the sentiments we felt, we trusted him and Jorge truly listened to our important but small details about the mixing of sizes, colors and plant types and delivered flowers that surpassed our expectations. The presentation for the her Urn was just spectacular! Jorge just became our family's Go-To for our floral needs. Thank you Jorge.

My sister-in-law was hospitalized at St Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, for several days for trigeminal neuralgia, which is very painful.
When she was discharged to go home to Prospect, I ordered a colorful bouquet, the designer's choice, and Jorge was very helpful and I knew that he would put together a stunning arrangement. The flowers cheered up my sister-in-law and she was touched by the gesture.
She sent me a photo so I could see the arrangement, which was equally beautiful to arrangements that I have ordered in the past from Urban Floral in Wolcott, CT.
I highly recommend buying from this Business. Their customer service is excellent, and I will be back many times over.
Thank you Urban Florist and Jorge for your creativity and putting a smile on my sister-in-law's face!

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
