Thank you for the perfect Mother's Day arrangement delivered on time and looking spectacular.
I picked the corsage up around 3:30 in the afternoon on Saturday for use on Sunday morning. I refrigerated it within 20 minutes of picking it up. It did not look fresh in the morning. I have bought many corsages over the years and never had a problem with them looking fresh after an overnight in the refrigerator.
Furthermore, there was nothing to indicate that a wrist corsage was the default and not a chest pin-on. Perhaps it would have lasted longer as a chest pin-on. As it was the corsage began falling apart almost immediately. Whether the flowers used were simply too fragile or were not attached strongly enough I do not know. I think it was a combination - the petals of the white blooms began falling and the entirety of others fell as well.
We attended church, visited my dad's grave and went to brunch - by the time we got to brunch the corsage was essentially gone except for the ribbon and some green sprigs.
The wrist strap itself was a "one-size-fits-all". But it most definitely did not fit a woman with a very small wrist. As there had been no indication that it was a wrist corsage, I had no opportunity to let them know that my mother was tiny and had a small wrist circumference. As the corsage did not stay firmly in place - even when put over the top of her sleeve, this, I am sure, contributed to the quick disintegration of the corsage.
Growing up in the area I had always used florists at Hollin Hall shopping center on Ft. Hunt and the one in the old Beacon Mall for my flower and corsage needs - proms, Mother's Day, birthdays, etc.
This was my first time using this florist and I doubt I will ever do so again.

I placed my order and then got 2 confirmations. I called the florist to make sure there was only 1 order. The people I spoke to were professional and very helpful. When she received them, my sister sent me a picture right away. The arrangement was so bright and colorful. We were both very pleased. It was well worth what it cost just to hear the happiness in her voice.
I ordered these for Valentine's day. While they were received late, compensation was worked out with the owner in a timely manner. The flowers themselves look great! I will still be using The Virginia Florist as my go-to for flower needs.
Virginia Florist delivered on time to my daughter's office in DC. This had just enough pink for Valentines. I added chocolates. Tall flowers were replaced by carnations but that's ok-they will last longer. And my daughter loves plants and can keep them for a long time. The basket was prettier than depicted here, light in color with a handle. This is a great choice for a plant lover.

Ordering these flowers online was the best option for us. However, I did have to go back and edit the card message a couple of times because there is something off with the spacing in that application. It still didn’t look quite right when I was finished but I needed to move on. They were delivered on time and I promptly received an email confirmation.

Urgently needed a florist for a funeral for an immediate family member just after Mother's Day. Flower selections were limited perhaps due to the holiday deliveries. Was told there would have to be different flowers to create the look of this rather large and lush arrangement. Didn't know what to expect, so asked for as close a resemblance as possible with no gladiolas and an English-garden look. SPECTACULAR RESULTS! So very beautiful! REMARKABLEY BEAUTIFUL! So easy to work with the florist who tolok my order and so VERY, VERY HAPPY with the results! It was touching to see the loveliness of what adorned my loved one's funeral home suite. I called Saturday midmorning and they said it would not be ready until late afternoon which did not work. They told me they would be open at 9am on Sunday and I said I would pick up first thing. They were not open at 9am when I arrived. I called the service and asked for a call back to arrange delivery service but no one called back. Mother's Day has been on the calendar all year long and they should be better prepared

The Virginia Florist is the only florist I use for sending arrangements to my sister in Alexandria, VA. I live in Florida, so I can always rest assured that the arrangement sent will be delivered on time and in perfect condition.
The bouquet I ordered for my mother-in-law‘s birthday was made beautifully and she loved it.
I was disappointed as the display was quite small. I expected it to be larger, particularly as we upgraded to premium. I also expected more fresh flowers. Poor value for money at over $120.
We ordered the fall favorite floral arrangement for my dad's 80th birthday celebration and it was even more spectacular than the photograph! So many beautiful colors and textures!

1) My website order didn’t go through to the florist, that’s what the florist explained to me.
2) I sent an email asking to change card message, no reply was received.
3) I received an email saying my order has been delivered but actually it was wrong. The florist replied at the end of day saying he made a mistake. The order has to be rescheduled for delivery.
4) The flowers delivered were different from those indicated on the website, pink roses changed to red roses, vase was smaller.
I really don’t understand what happens to this so called national reputable florist… there are problems with their system and administration… I am very disappointed with them.

The bouquet had too many carnations and greenery. The picture(I ordered online because I'm in NC and my daughter's in VA) had pretty pink roses, some daisies and alot more flowers. I was really disappointed because I love flowers. She was happy so that's all that mattered.

The bouquet that came was really poorly done especially when compared to what the order picture looked like. The flowers were different than in the order and very poorly cut. Instead of the bouquet looking like one item, the different layers of flowers didn't merge. Overall the bouquet that cost $85 just looked like a little kid put it together with the equivalent worth of $15. There was nothing professional or special about that bouquet. I won't be returning to the virginia florist.

My mom loved the arrangement and cute bear. There were issues with the delivery time, as there were with many places for Mother's Day, but the owner, Kevin, explained their difficulties and provided a credit that I can use in the future for the unfortunate happenings. One reason I'm writing this review is that I hope Kevin recovers this credit amount and more, from both me and others :) 100% recommend!
They delivered the flowers 2 days after the scheduled date of delivery (Mother's Day, May 9, 2021). They should not accept orders if they will not be able to deliver it on time.
I will never buy anything from this florist again. They sent two red roses, two lilies, and baby's breath and kept the $100 without acknowledging I had paid for a bouquet of white and pink roses. I will never buy a thing from this man again. I advise you to avoid this guy. He's a turbo capitalist.

I very rarely write reviews, but the experience I had with The Virginia Florist was beyond exceptional that I felt it necessary to share.
I live in the UK and my best friend lives all the way across the pond in Virginia, which means we can't celebrate birthdays together.
I discovered The Virginia Florist a year ago when looking for florists somewhat local to my friend, the service and the quality of the flowers they delivered were amazing and because of that initial experience I knew I would be using them moving forward.
Fast forward to March 2021, I ordered a bouquet of flowers the end of February to be delivered 8th March. Unfortunately, they were delivered a week early. The arrangement itself was absolutely stunning and my best friend loved them, but I was a little bummed because I wanted her to have them on her birthday.
I emailed The Virginia Florist to communicate what had happened and I was informed by Mr Kevin Green that, as my friend lived 150 miles from their shop, they enlist the help of a more local florist to fulfil the order.
He communicated to me that he had spoken to the florist and they recognised their error in delivering a week early and offered to rectify it immediately by organising to send a replacement bouquet (to the same quality as the one they had delivered in error) on the 8th.
I was genuinely blown away by this offer and it wasn't something I was expecting, their incredibly kind gesture has only strengthened my desire to be a customer for life.
The replacement bouquet was, as promised, just as beautiful as the Steal The Show Bouquet and my best friend was pleasantly surprised and felt very loved on her birthday which is what I wanted.
I just wanted to say thank you to The Virginia Florist and the florist that fulfilled the order.

I was surprised at how straightforward it was to order and pay. I normally have to fill in so many things, then the owner has to call me to verify just to be able to order delivery, just because my address and number are not US.
Except for the vase which was not transparent blue and the blue flowers were a bit different, what was delivered was same size and general picture.
I also liked the fact that the flowers were delivered in the morning - great first greeting to the birthday celebrant.

I have no complaints about my order other than they delivered them a day earlier than I asked for. I even got an email showing they'd be delivered on the day I requested. This is important because it was for a special birthday and we wanted them to arrive on that day. The flowers themselves were beautiful and what I asked for. All in all I'd use this florist again but I'd make sure they understand "when" it needs to be there.

Delivery was fine but flower arrangement was not up to $100. Roses were obviously not as fresh as they should have been; still have not opened. Pedals are discolored. We were very disappointed - 57th wedding anniversary! You’ve done better - like our daughter’s wedding a while ago.

The florist sent me an update when they were delivered and my friend received them on the day they were supposed to be sent. Very good!

It wasnt a mixed african violet basket it was one african violet and there wasn't a vine growing either in it like the picture. It looked nothing like the picture, it was pretty and my mom enjoyed it but i was a disappointed. That was not worth the 60$ that was charged, I realize when ordering flowers you pay for the service, however, I could have put the basket together myself for under 10$, i feel taken advantage.

We were really excited to order from the Virginia Florist for our family member's engagement and since we could not be there, it seemed like a beautiful bouquet to let them know of our congratulations. However, the bouquet definitely did not look like the photo and so we were disappointed with our overall experience because it was not as expected and likely, we would not order from here again. The only reason the two stars were given was because the bouquet did arrive on time as indicated in the delivery schedule. I am not sure if it was a fluke but for the amount we paid for the bouquet, we expected better quality and a bouquet realistic to the picture shown.
