Brooke Wetzel
Lead Designer and Founder, LA native Brooke Wetzel has been playing with flowers since she was a teenager. An accomplished photographer at a young age; she had a natural talent for design and composition that naturally evolved to floral design. Inspired by trends in fashion, decorative arts and the current growing season, Brooke is always reinventing and discovering style-forward ways to design with seasonal, locally-sourced, California grown blooms, focusing on vase longevity and beauty, all while "keeping it pretty". Passionate about exceptional service, thoughtful presentation and a distinct floral experience, The Plum Dahlia strives to make each gift personal and unique.

Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (310) 896-8548, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?

Disappointed that for a Deluxe option, the bouquet only came with two different types of purple flowers, with the smaller flowers looking slightly wilted. I don't anticipate the arrangement lasting for the week since they didn't look hardy enough to last.

The arrangement contained a full bunch of Lilac, 10 stems of Anemones that were closed at delivery for maximum freshness, 10 stems of Tulips (also tight) and 5 stems of Lisianthus. While the Lilac was very full and flowy, I can understand that it hid the tighter Anemones on the first day. The arrangement will evolve and open over the next couple of days and I guarantee every arrangement for 5 days. Please reach out directly if you hear it wilted before then and I am happy to replace it. I did receive a lovely text from the recipient so I hope they were as effusive to receive your gift. I have been using BloomNation since 2018, and Brooke is the most amazing florist I have ever encountered. Not only is her creation stunning and reasonably priced, but her customer service is also truly top-notch. At first, I was a little nervous about ordering from a florist that I had never used before, not to mention that we had a very sensitive request. However, Brooke went above and beyond to take care of this simple but delicate order, and we could not have been more grateful. Not only did she upgrade our arrangement free of charge (the final set was absolutely stunning, btw, and the recipient LOVED it), but her thoughtfulness throughout the whole process also shone right through. From checking in with us a week before the scheduled delivery date to providing timely updates as well as pictures, her kindness deserves 100 stars and not just five. My only complaint is that I don't live in LA. Otherwise, I would have loved to decorate my home with bouquets and centerpieces from her every month.

In the past week I ordered 2 bouquets from Brooke and both were stunning. The first arrangement was for my daughter at USC and Brooke worked with me to confirm the look I wanted also noting delivery parameters at the apartment complex. Her communication was excellent and more importantly the flowers were exceptional. My daughter was thrilled and so was I. Two days later we had a sudden loss in our family- my cousin passed away- and I contacted Brooke again. She worked with me and put together the most thoughtful and beautiful sympathy arrangement I've ever seen. My Aunt who had lost her daughter commented several times how much solace it is giving her. The colors are comforting, the flowers are healing and Brooke included other personal and healing elements. My family cannot thank Brooke enough for her artistry, skill, business skills and compassion. Thank you Brooke. It was beyond perfect. At first I was anxious since my exchange with Brooke was initially just thru the online ordering system. I provided as much detail of what I was going for, threw out some flower names and types of colors preferred, filler leaves as well as adjectives to go with it, hoping for the best. I had to change the delivery date, and Brooke was able to respond quickly and accommodated! That was already a good start! When the day came for the flowers to be deliver, I received an email and Brooke sent me a photo, informing me she was on her way. I was immediately delighted seeing the photo. She basically was able to arrange based on my requests and it was pretty spot on. I was so surprised, because, often times vendors will just arrange based on availability and you always end up feeling disappointed as it was not what was advertised, or close to the product photos, and on top of that, paying so much more for average results. But not The Plum Dahlia, Brooke was super personable and you can tell she loves what she do, and that is what I love. You can see the passion and care in her arrangements. And she makes sure her customers, were happy. I will definitely be seeking her for future orders. Price was reasonable, although I am the type that does not mind paying a little extra for great results, the experience was worth every penny!

First of all, I rarely ever order flower online as most of the time, they never look like the picture shown and I’m quite particular with how I like my arrangements. Brooke was incredible! It was the holiday weekend when I submitted my order with detail notes of what I wanted and Brooke responded immediately and answered all my questions. As soon as she was back in the shop on Monday, she worked on the arrangement and even texted me a picture before it was delivered. I sent these flowers to my mom for her birthday. She said the flowers were beautiful except that when they were delivered there was no water in the vase. It seemed that the flowers tipped over in transit since the box they came in was wet and some of the flowers were smashed. I would order from Plum Dahlia again but would make sure that the flowers were not damaged in transit.

I have ordered from The Plum Dahlia before and received beautiful arrangements. However, the Mother's Day flowers I ordered arrived small and wilting. We had to run out immediately to a different florist and buy a replacement arrangement! It was disappointing and frankly a waste of time and money.

I absolutely love this place! I ordered flowers for my cousins birthday to be delivered to her (Los Angeles) and i was the easiest thing ever! I was about to order from a different company but after some reading some reviews I went with this one and it was the best decision ever! Brooke is amazing! The floral arrangement and service exceeded my expectations. Do to the fact that I live in Northern California I was skeptical to make a transaction with a floral company, do to the fact that things can go wrong and I wouldn't have much control over since i live further away. However, Brooke is great! I asked for the arrangement to have pinks and purples only (as the original arrangement i ordered seemed to have red, purple and white flowers) and she DID customize it to what i had asked for:) She even sent me an email of what the finished product looked like before delivering it and also personally called me to let me know what she had done to the arrangement (customize as i had asked) and to confirm that it was complete and ready for delivery) I later saw the picture of the flowers on my cousins instagram and i was #gorgeous! not to mention the stationary Brooke uses to write the personalized message you send is also ADORABLE!.
