We are located close to The University of Florida, and are proud to be GATORS! Centrally located in Gainesville, we have been serving the community since 1985. Daily deliveries to UF Health Shands Hospital and North Florida Regional Hospital. I am a native Floridian, having grown up in Homestead, FL. I moved to Gainesville to attend The University of Florida, GO GATORS. While in college I worked at The Plant Shoppe and purchased it after Grad School in 1999.

This is my third time ordering from The Plant Shoppe Florist in Gainesville, FL and love it they do a great job I had an issue and they was able to solve it by redirecting my delivery because my fiancé left work early and the delivery did not reach her yet so I called and they said we can deliver it home and it made it in perfect timing I recommend people to shop here and the lady on the phone was very helpful I didn’t get her name but thank you again. Also I ordered it the day before from another state and it came in perfect timing.

I wanted to do a thank you bouquet to a vet's office for being wonderful with us and our dog. So perfect that they had a dog vase! I was a little worried that it was so unrelentingly dark, but with the adorable bow and big colorful blooms, it's adorable! Very pleased. Same day delivery, too.

This was the first time I used The Plant Shoppe and the experience was terrific! She and her colleague searched high and low for the "unicorn" mug I wanted and finally unearthed the last one for me! There was no delay in delivery ... my recipient received it by 3PM the same day and couldn't wait to post a picture of it on her social media feed. Her bouquet was even more beautiful than the one in this picture!

The flower was lovely, and the delivery was great and timely. I also liked getting a pic of the item before delivery. I was disappointed that the vase pictured in the order was ceramic with a bird in the ceramic, and the actual vase was wood with and attached bird figure.

I sent this beautiful bouquet for Mothers Day. Only - it turns out she was out of town!!! The Plant Shoppe not only contacted to tell me she was out of town (they were informed by the facility) they redelivered the bouquet several days later when she had returned, and the flowers were still beautiful!

Well, the flowers were beautiful. But I got into a lot of trouble because of a joke I made in your shop. When asked what I wanted the card to say I said "You're an okay mom". Followed up immediately with "I'm just joking- don't write that. Just have it say "Love Greg" ".

The orange roses are fully open as if they're old. The arrangement doesn't look at all like to the advertised picture. There're no purple accent flowers, no ribbon, the yellow roses are replaced with fully opened orange roses. The purple and red roses are beautiful and as pictured

This was a “designers choice†arrangement where I left some instruction on what I was looking for, and the florists absolutely nailed it. Insanely beautiful, the picture doesn’t do it justice. It was for someone that recently lost their mother, and I can’t even begin to explain how much joy this brought not only the recipient, but their family as well. The recipient and the recipient’s sister sent me messages about how well they feel the bouquet captured their mom, and how it reminded them of a wild flower field they grew up near. It allowed them to reminisce on found memories, brought joy to their hearts during a tough time, and reminded them of their mom. I can’t thank the florists enough. I ordered the flowers for delivery nearly 6 days before Valentine's Day. The flowers didn't get delivered until after 9 pm. In fact, I had to wake my wife up to give her the flowers. When I called the shop around 7 pm, to see what the hold up was, the person I spoke with said that the flowers were on the way but offered no explanation or apology for the late delivery. I've never been through anything like this before and having to wait all day for them to show up, ruined our day as well my plans and my surprise for my wife. Plus, I had to cancel my reservation because I couldn't leave the house until they were delivered. I paid a lot of money for them and was totally disappointed with the service. Based on this experience, I will not be ordering anything from the plant shoppe anymore.

I have nothing but good things to say about this florist. First I called and then made this order online at about 5pm the day before I needed it by 11 when my flight arrived. I learned my order was ready so i stopped on the way from the airport to pick it up around 10. They were early! When placing the order, there was a price difference. I simply made a note in my order. They immediately called and thank me as they weren't aware. Then they gave me options. The pick up was easy and peompt. The arrangement was just as pictured and probably even more gorgeous,there are somedetails you miss when looking at the photo but even those were side to the star, who doesn't love an iris? The address is one that is a little odd, so I was able to enter a description of the building and the door they needed to deliver to while placing the order. The flowers were beautiful but the communication not so much. I was called due to no pink roses available. I told lady I would return call next morning to confirm as I was ordering for someone else. I verified what colors were available. Next morning I called to tell them red roses would be ok. I was told no red roses were available so I asked what colors were. I was placed on hold and someone else picked up line and stated what color do you want. I explained that we ordered pink but was told they were not available. She rudely said, what color do you want I have pink and red written down. I told her pink was what we wanted but was told they weren’t available. She stated they had some. Communication needs some improvement but flowers and delivery were great

I have ordered several times from this florist and they have always been great. I think this is my least favorite arrangement from them, but that's not really their fault I think. Aesthetically it looks great, just some of the flowers on the left (not sure what they're called) look a little lackluster, almost like they're slightly wilted. Maybe they just need a little more time to bloom and in a few days they'll look great! We'll see. I still recommend them to anyone who needs a florist.

These were so so easy to order and my girlfriend says the bouquet is “huge†and the flowers are stunning. It also came with the option to add a short message on a card that the florist hand wrote for no extra cost. I made a custom order for “an arrangement of mainly blue hydrangeas, some red roses,†and “no preference for whatever else†for $80.
While I said “no preference for whatever else,†I was still expecting at least some other kind of flower thrown in as part of the “arrangement.†But I can’t say for certain that the florist will not take liberties to spice up a not-so descriptive order, since they may rightfully have come to the conclusion that the combination of flowers I requested was perfectly fine as ordered (after all, my girlfriend and her roommates loved them).
I’m giving 5 stars because the size and quality of the bouquet was well worth my money, and the customer service gives me no reason to doubt that had I explicitly asked for other kinds of flowers to be mixed in (instead of saying “no preferenceâ€), they would’ve done so.

The two arrangements were lovely. However, the Celebration of Life Service began at 2:00. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we didn't arrive until 2:10 and I saw the flowers being delivered. I'm currently serving overseas in Korea where peonies and hydrangeas are in full bloom. I wanted to send my mother-in-law some flowers so she could "experience" Korea. I called multiple florists before I found one who had peonies. They worked with me to create a simple but elegant bouquet that looked like flowers picked straight from a garden. They were gorgeous! My MIL lives outside their normal delivery radius, and obviously I couldn't pick them up, so they worked to deliver them for me - the same day! My MIL was delighted when she recieved them. Their customer service was amazing (and the lady I talked to on the phone, so personable!) I'll be calling them for all my flower needs in the future! The arrangement was full and beautiful. The only constructive comment is that the recipients favorite colors are pink and purple, the colors peach and orange were used. And I undetstand that those colors of certain flowers are not always available.

I hope this review properly expresses my gratitude and awe at the service I received as well as the amazing arrangement they did on an emergency basis. At the last minute, I realized funeral services were a day earlier than planned. I had already placed my order for the following day but called them at 210pm to explain my mistake. The viewing had started at 2pm. I had no expectation that they could do anything because it was the day before Mothers Day. I could not believe when I got notification that delivery of the arrangement was made at 235pm (20 minutes after calling). Luckily, the viewing was only one block away, which helped tremendously. But it was the staff at The Plant Shoppe that made it happen. I don’t encourage anyone to wait until the last minute but they knew it was an honest error and they saved me. Gratitude forever!!

Mother’s Day plant was delivered to the wrong house on Saturday. Was so disappointed to hear it never arrived. It had been sitting at the neighbors house. At 1:49PM, I received the picture for the bouquet and at 2:03PM I called the shop to inquired where I might have made the mistake with the order. A woman picks up the phone, I explained the situation, and she told me she didn't take my order, so she wouldn't know. By that time, the order was already on the way to being delivered. The reason I want to leave this review to have an opportunity to be able to voice my concern. Everyone was super nice, and I would definitely use them again, but I will be more vigilant before I ask them my next order. Also, as a consumer, I would like to be informed what type of information is needed so that the end product is to my expectations.

I used The Plant Shoppe Florist for the first time yesterday. My daughter that lives in Gainesville had experienced a extremely tough day and I live in NC. I so wanted to be with her and just give her a hug plus be there for support. Fortunately, I thought of sending flowers and checked with a friend of hers in Gainesville to see what his recommendation would be. He immediately sent me a link to The Plant Shoppe Florist! They were so helpful on the phone, told me I'd be receiving 3 emails, one that my order was received, one with a picture once the arrangement was completed, and one when it had been delivered. (all within a few hours). My daughter immediately called and shared how much it meant and how kind the driver had been that delivered the arrangement! I generally don't send flowers, but I will now and will definitely use The Plant Shoppe Florist for any needs in Gainesville. I see how much it meant and it gave me comfort that she felt that hug throught the flowers that I wanted to send!

I pre-ordered for Valentine's Day way in advance. Little did we know my lovely bride would get pneumonia and be absent from work when the flowers to be delivered. Good Morning, To whom it my concern. I am not a person to write bad reviews. Looking at the picture you took of my order. Speaking on the rose in the vase, It does not look like the picture in the advertisement. The reason being is the height of the stem of the rose. It shows more of the rose itself. It is the little things like that that made my choice to be that arrangement. As you can see it is to far down in the vase and does not bring your attention to the rose itself. Called the shop long distance to be delivered to Shands. Ordered an Orchid. Very helpful owner took care of me. I received an email with a photo of the orchid I ordered… brilliant idea! Although I have ordered flowers long distance many times this is the first time I ever received a photo! Like I said brilliant! I received an email confirming delivery was complete… oh but there was a problem my friend didn’t receive it in her room! Where was the run away orchid. I called the shop and the owner became the orchid detective and found the orchid was at Shand’s drop off spot , the Shands staff didn’t bring it to the room(covid rules don’t allow delivery to the room only the information desk)… anyway after the owner’s call to Shands’s information desk the Run Away orchid is with my adoring friend.
