This arrangement was sent in November 2024 right before Thanksgiving. The arrangement was beautiful and the recipient in Rochester/Brighton neighborhood loved it. I researched many florists since I was out of town and thought The Flower Shop had the best selection for our needs and price point, and we wanted to shop with a small local business.
Why 4 Stars?

I have no idea if the bouquet I purchased, which was sent to a family member who lives near your shop, looked like the photo. I like to support local florists but would not purchase from you again as you do not take orders over the phone so that a customer can find out if substitutions will be made to the bouquets featured on your site. I tried to call several times.

The buying experience was good and easy. In the past I have ordered flowers online from other flower shops/services and each time the experience was a nightmare. So much so that I stopped using online ordering and would only talk to a person to place the order. Time was running out this week and my calls were not being answered, so I took a chance to order online. It was a very pleasant experience. The order was placed about 17:30 Monday and delivered the next day before noon. Even better, what was delivered was exactly like the online photograph. Tried to call the business to discuss the order. Voice mailbox was full and could not leave a message. Additionally, no one answered the phone during advertised business hours. (Store recorded phone message was about the Christmas holidays... in February).

The Sunflower Fields bouquet (deluxe) I ordered for a friend was delivered this week and I have to say I am very disappointed. The picture shows beautiful sunflowers (at least 3 nice big ones), yet the bouquet they received looked like it may have had only one sunflower with a bunch of a “filler” type flowers as the main attraction.
Being named Sunflower fields I would have expected the sunflower to be the main attraction.

My last purchase, as all of them for several years, was for my Mother who is almost 100 years old. I was disappointed to learn that the arrangement did not include the red bow with white hearts. The reason I chose this particular arrangement is because of the red bow with hearts. A red bow was included, but no hearts, which is a major difference on a day like Valentines Day. I wish I were notified. I also added instructions on the order, they weren't followed. I still like your work and I have been very happy with your service, but this one time might be a deal breaker for me because I don't want to be disappointed again.

Embarrassing. I was promised "a beautiful variety of pink, yellow and purple flowers that will make a stunning spray."
This is what I got.... One focal flower that sticks out like a sore thumb, a bunch of carnations with 2 variations of pink and 1 of purple with a million gaps.
I tried to express my concern and I was told that I got what I paid for (because I was told there was no "bells of Ireland"). But what about all the other colors and all the other flowers??? So unfair.
It was a heartbreaking display that I had to give my loved one as a final goodbye and it's a huge disappointment that the flower shop couldn't make it better for me.
After I expressed my concern, Joy continued to tell me that she has over 500- 5 star reviews and the bad job she did for me won't matter to anyone.
This was a sad and unfortunate experience.
Rockcastle had some WONDERFUL bouquets at the funeral.. I wish one of those were mine.
This is what I got.... One focal flower that sticks out like a sore thumb, a bunch of carnations with 2 variations of pink and 1 of purple with a million gaps.
I tried to express my concern and I was told that I got what I paid for (because I was told there was no "bells of Ireland"). But what about all the other colors and all the other flowers??? So unfair.
It was a heartbreaking display that I had to give my loved one as a final goodbye and it's a huge disappointment that the flower shop couldn't make it better for me.
After I expressed my concern, Joy continued to tell me that she has over 500- 5 star reviews and the bad job she did for me won't matter to anyone.
This was a sad and unfortunate experience.

WOW! Awesome, fantastic, amazing! I phoned at 10:30am on Saturday, with a request for same day delivery. Joy picked up, as she was driving to a delivery, pulled over, and cheerfully took my order. The web site was certainly easy to navigate but the picture I received from my friend for whom the flowers were intended was a little disappointing. It looked like a lot of ferns/ filler, not that many flowers. I sprang for the deluxe and maybe part of what was different was that the lilies hadn’t opened yet. I am thrilled with my experience with The Flower Shop. I live in Boston and my mother lives in Fairport and was turning 80. Because of the pandemic she was going to be alone for this milestone, so we were trying to think of ways to make this day special even though we could not be together. This bouquet was one of the things we sent, and it was a hit! These flowers were gorgeous. My mother sent a picture of the fancy dinner she made herself - and the flowers were the centerpiece. 2nd time with tremendous experience. I bought the Fields of Europe bouquet for my Nana's birthday. She absolutely adored them and said it made another expensive florist look like Walmart flowers. I haven't had an issue yet! The delivery fee is below average which I find very appealing because I've had flowers delivered to fairport and walworth for the exact same price. I've ordered from Stella's, Kittlebergers, Hopper Hills, and even From You Flowers and none of them impress me as much as The Flower Shop. I will be ordering again soon! ❤

It looked only a little bit like the picture. White candles instead of red, no pine cones, all of the white roses on one size, all the red on the other. The only good thing was that my sister thought it was beautiful and it is still looking fresh and beautiful to her. I, on the other hand was disappointed. Especially for the amount of money I spent. I ordered four total floral arrangements. 3 of the 4 were great and closely, if not exactly represented the images on the website. The fourth (the one pictured here) almost seemed like the wrong arrangement was delivered. It had 100% different flowers in it, it was not in a basket and it did not have any of the seasonal embellishments shown in the picture. Joy knew that there were some colors that were better than others, and that we wanted to make sure the arrangement reflected the designer's creativity and not just a template-style bouquet. The roses were beautiful. Fresh and opened to the perfect stage and nicely arranged. Joy was able to meet my request to have the flowers delivered at a time that fit my needs. Don't make the mistake of using Flowers.com or other "Warehouse" delivery services. Rely on your local florist!

The bouquet that was delivered was disappointing compared to the picture. The photo is so much more fun and vibrant compared to what was received. Also didn't have the two green 'straws' to complete the drink look. I also paid extra for the "deluxe" option which makes me wonder what it would've looked like had I not. That being said, it was delivered on time, and my mom enjoyed it, not having seen what it was supposed to look like.
