About Us
Suncoast Florist- your neighborhood florist since 1980. We are Sarasota’s oldest and one of its finest florists. Suncoast Florist began as Golden flowers started by Adelaida and Pedro Hernandez. Upon their decision to retire in the year 2000, they sold the business to Jeff and Regina Gordon, the present owners. Jeff and Regina owned a local wholesale florist and used to sell flowers to all the local florists. WE KNOW FLOWERS! A bit of kismet, the very first stop that Jeff made as a wholesale florist in Sarasota was Golden Flowers that would eventually become Suncoast Florist. In 2007 Jeff and Regina purchased Flowers by David, another excellent Sarasota florist that decided to retire, and combined it with Suncoast Florist. The experienced owners and staff at Suncoast Florist enjoy helping our clients to achieve their vision. Our experience through many intense floral holiday seasons prepares us for any situation or event. We love what we do.
Jeff has been involved in the floral industry since 1984. He started out as a route salesman for a local floral wholesaler. Always the creative type, it wasn't long before he learned the art of design by observation, training and helping out at holidays for many of the florist shop he serviced in the area. After 25 years of owning and managing Suncoast Florist, Jeff has honed a fine business at the cutting edge of floral design and implementation.

How will I receive a new bouquet?
Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (941) 365-6407, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?
We’d be happy to take care of that for you! Please contact us at (941) 365-6407 and we’ll cancel your subscription right away.

Delivery Details & Tips
Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in
advance.
