Have you ever read the book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie?" That’s the story of how I became a florist in Baltimore County based out of Reisterstown and serving as a florist in Carroll County and Baltimore County. I was given a paintbrush at an early age, but I needed something to paint. So, I found a tree and painted it, but then I realized I wanted color around my tree, so I learned to paint and draw flowers. When my paintings didn’t capture the flowers exactly as I wanted (a bit of a perfectionist, I know), I started photographing them. But when I couldn’t find the exact flowers I envisioned, I began growing them myself. I have been growing flowers and vegetables for over 15 years now, and while the number of flowers I grow can’t always keep up with what I use weekly at Sow Wonder Florals, I’m grateful for local growers who share my love of dirt under their nails. This means there is always a local element in my designs. As a Carroll County florist and a Baltimore County florist, my favorite designs are garden-style arrangements that are free-flowing, full of movement, and include unexpected textures. I often tuck dried lavender or an aloe leaf into a "Get Well" arrangement as a visual symbol of hope for healing. Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
