I wanted to use a local flower shop for my daughter's birthday bouquet I sent her since I am in Colorado and she is in Oakland. I'm so glad I chose this one. My daughter said this bouquet was the most beautiful arrangement she has ever received! When I ordered online, I forgot to put her apartment number so I called. The man that answered ( I'm assuming the owner) was so kind. I did tell him that this was a special birthday and I wanted a lot of purple and it to be fabulous! He did not disappoint. I usually order from 1800 flowers but so glad I chose a local florist instead! If you have a special occasion and need something extravagant for a reasonable price, this shop is the one to call!!! This made my daughter's day! If I could give more than 5 stars, I most definitely would!

I wanted the perfect floral arrangement to say, "Welcome to your new home!" to my daughter and her fiance'. The florist at Seulberger's created a gorgeous arrangement. I hoped for tulips (out of season) as they are my daughter's favorite, but the shop owner called to ask if he could substitute a different flower because the tulips were not fresh enough to provide the quality he wanted. Great bouquet. Amazing customer service. This will be my "go to" place for flowers in the Bay area after this experience.

The order was for a retirement, and the recipient raved, oohed and aahed about how beautiful it was. My only minor complaint was that it was delivered a week early! Why allow us to select a delivery date when ordering if it will be delivered at that time. We were just lucky she happened to be in the office at the time of delivery. But it did make a big impression, and for that I am very happy.

Initially, I had a concern about the style of the flowers delivered in that the arrangement differed from the picture—but owner contacted me right away to address my concern.
The recipient was very happy with the flowers and even asked where I got them from so she can order from there next time she needs flowers—she said thought the arrangement was unique and beautiful and it brightened her day. The arrangement that was delivered has lasted well over a week, and still looking fresh. Overall, happy with delivery, customer service, and the product.

I ordered for same day delivery and almost immediately after placing the order, they called to say that unfortunately, they did not have the flowers needed for the specific arrangement I'd paid for. However, the man I spoke to was very apologetic and sweet and asked me some questions about my preferences and the purpose of the bouquet. He assured me they would make something lovely based on my answers and sure enough! They delivered quickly and frankly the picture the recipient sent me was even prettier than the arrangement I'd initially picked out. Seulbergers Florist cares about it's customers. In this day and age that is a remarkable trait. This was a long distance order and the recipient lives in a gated home. The recipient was not available by phone at the time but that did not deter Seulbergers. I am delighted with the flowers and, more importantly, the recipient was delighted with her flowers too.

I am always nervous about ordering flowers online but this was a pleasant and easy experience and the quality of the flowers was good. The recipient sent me a photo of her flowers and they are lovely. They look similar to the photo on the website.

I would have preferred fewer green hydrangeas and more pastel flowers as shown online, but it was a very nice arrangement nonetheless.

Overall, it was a good experience and I will definitely try Seulbergers Florist again.

I was ordering from Australia and took a chance on your florist business. I received wonderful service as the delivery date was possibly going to be too late to give the receiver any joy knowing the circumstances. You went out of your way to deliver them earlier, which I appreciated the effort made.

Just one small thing was that I did not notice that the vase was not included thus making the arrangement look nothing like the original from the photo I received from the family . But well done SEULBERGERS.

I have been doing business with Seulberger's Florist in Oakland for many years and this is the first time I was disappointed with the flowers that were delivered. The recipient sent photos of the arrangement that was delivered, and they looked exhausted. The flowers were delivered late in the day, and they were in an empty vase with no water, so the flowers were wilted. As mentioned above, I have photos and would be happy to share them with you. This order was not up to the standard which I have associated with Seulberger's Florist for years.

I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful floral presentation that you created! Upon learning of the death of a family friend, I knew that I wouldn't be able to attend the funeral; because I've known the deceased for over 40 years I wanted something that was "just right". I was impressed that the owner himself created this piece, and that he let me know what would need to be substituted to keep with the all-white theme. He even went above and beyond by creating a video to show me the final product!
Upon delivery I was immediately contacted by the family to thank me and let me know that they were awed by the arrangement. I would definitely use Seulbergers again, knowing that my loved one(s) received fresh and creatively staged flowers.

Yesterday was my daughter's birthday and I ordered a floral gift to be delivered. Weather good in Oakland but at 2,30 pm the flowers had still not been delivered. I called the shop (long distance) to find out that they were waiting on certain flowers that would be added. I asked that they please add whatever flowers that would look nice and get it delivered. They did. There should be some clause when ordering that if certain flowers are not available; tasteful substitutes will be made.

I sent flowers to my friend in Oakland. The arrangement photo on line was much tighter and lovelier than what arrived. The roses and other flowers were very open, the arrangement looked older than something made that day. The photo my friend sent looked tired instead of fresh and perky and newly arranged. A disappointment for an arrangement of over $120.00 and made in Oakland for an Oakland delivery address.

I wish I could give zero stars. The flowers my fiancé received were NOTHING like the photo of what I ordered. They flowers were almost dead, roses fully bloomed and missing several flowers from picture. Also, the vase wasn’t even the right color so it didn’t match the flowers. I’m embarrassed and appalled at what my fiancé received AND in front of all her coworkers? No wonder there isn’t an option to attach a photo to this review.

However, when she sent me a photo of the them I was disappointed to see that her bouquet looked much less vibrant that the one in the your photo (although I did not expect it to look exactly the same). This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in an arrangement from Seulbergers. I have ordered many times from from you, over the last four years she’s lived in St Paul’s Towers. The Roses were old and the arrangement looked as if it had been thrown together quite quickly or been jostled during transport. It was unkempt and underwhelming. It was tall and gangly in contrast to the short and full versión on your website. I guess there’s a first time for everything, but i would have preferred it not be on the special occasion of her 85th birthday with all her children gathered from 4 different cities in her living room when the flowers arrived.
She was very polite and said thanks but was clearly unimpressed and 1/2 hour later someone brought her a bouquet from Whole Foods which she oohed and aaahed over.
I will try again but next time I will ask for a picture of what was delivered. And I bb will be wary. Thought you should know.

The flower arrangement that was delivered looked quite different from this sample arrangement. The delivered arrangement did not include snapdragons or gladiolus and was not as colorful or cheery. I would not call it “ color pop”. However, the arrangement looked very nice and Rebecca who received the flowers was very happy. Thank you.

Try having flowers delivered to your daughter on her day-after-Christmas birthday. We had almost given up hope when we found Seulbergers. The only "catch" was that, since it was peak holiday time, we could not choose the flowers ourselves; it was "Designer's Choice" or nothing. Not only did Seulbergers make the delivery to the birthday girl on time, but the flowers were absolutely stunning, clearly chosen with care and love. My experience with this place was amazing. I spoke to a very helpful man, who offered some substitutions for a flower I wanted (peonies) in my bouquet. He was kind, and very enthusiastic. The flowers were absolutely beautiful of course! Most importantly, I would like to point out the incredible customer service. The recipient, due to receiving additional deliveries, thought that she hadn't received our flowers. I called the shop and spoke to who I believe was the owner. He was so kind and understanding. After checking on the delivery with the driver, he explained that they were delivered. Eventually, after figuring out that the flowers had been delivered, I called the owner back and explained. I think they did an excellent job! I would’ve given then a solid 5-stars if it wasn’t for the order batch of flowers they received which led to my order not exactly as how I wanted it for my mom. The management still took time out of their day to call me and tell me that the batch of flower orders that came in were undesirable and if it was ok to switch to pink flowers which looked way better. I totally agreed, since it wasn’t their fault entirely anyways. They were very respectful and nice over the phone and to my mom as well when she received them. I totally would recommend! But who ever their flower suppliers are, maybe they need to revisit their processes on delivering quality flowers on important days like Mother’s Day.

My order could have been better. First, there was an availability issue with a couple of the flowers included in the arrangement I chose which delayed the delivery. I didn't find out about this until proactively calling the florist.

Second, the end result was not nearly as impressive as it appeared online - likely due to the need to replace the aforementioned missing flowers.

On the plus side, the order to arrive at its destination fairly quickly after my call to the Florist.

Our company is based in New York and needed to order same-day flowers for a colleague in Berkeley. I don't know why, but none of the Berkeley florists were able to deliver the same day. Easy experience to choose flowers, they hand delivered an overnight order without incident, and he bouquet looked even bigger and more spectacular than I thought!

I noticed that instead of overselling what they offer (posting photos of the most expensive bouquet option within an arrangement so you’re not sure what the cheapest one might look like?), they do the opposite. We ended up picking the medium price point and the bouquet was really stunning. Amazing !

Was very happy with this florist, he called me back immediately with help on how to complete the order online, price was very reasonable for the quality and beauty of the arrangement. My friend enjoyed the flowers immensely, they cheered her up in the hospital after surgery, and she loved the bright colors! The shop is very close to the hospital, so flowers were delivered the same afternoon.

I was very happy with the whole process - very easy to order online. I ordered flowers the night before, they were delivered the next day, and were very pretty. I really appreciate that the driver called me at delivery because I had given a wrong phone number for the recipient, and there was a coded gate to get through. I was able to correct that on the spot, and the flowers were delivered. Than you!

Seulberger’s website makes it easy to order beautiful flowers in a pinch. Being the last minute person that I am, I ordered flowers for my friend’s 50th birthday on Saturday at 4 AM through their website, they were delivered later the very same day. I received confirmation emails when I placed the order and after the flowers were delivered. Because it was my first time using them after reading all the glowing reviews, I called to confirm delivery and the owner, Mike, was a true professional. From my billing address he saw that I’m in Hawaii and included some orchids to the arrangement to acknowledge that. He even texted me a picture of the arrangement, which was gorgeous, and the price was very reasonable. My friend loved it. I will be ordering flowers through them to send to all my Bay area friends in the future!

What was received didn't match what was ordered. I know it won't be exact match, but this was about 70% accurate of what I ordered. I use these folks for all of my orders. Not "kool" this time.

All is good as usual, the owner phoned me and made everything great by sending another arrangement, they do what they say and always meet the requested delivery time!

After I placed my order for a friend's birthday, Mike called me to ensure that Seulberger could get the flowers to her at 6pm which is past business hours. This was perfect for her schedule! He also let me know about some flower color switches because he said the pink flowers looked great that day. I was happy he let me know about this and I was more than willing to trust his judgment and expertise. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Oakland area or for someone they know in Oakland!

Got this arrangement for my 11 yr old daughter for her birthday. She said she thought it was "AMAZING" and she loved it. She loves bright whimsical colors and this was perfect. I was told the arrangement was beautiful. I ordered the sweetness arrangement for a loved one on their birthday. I asked to have it delivered early in the day, however it was not delivered early and the person missed it before leaving for the day. When I called to confirm delivery they seemed disorganized. All in all the product was on point but service/delivery could have been a lot better.
