Roy-al Flowers & Gifts
Roy-Al Flowers and Gifts began in 1974 as a partnership between florists Mr. Roy Bernard and Mr. Al Sonnier. Already having twenty years of experience at the inception of Roy-Al they proved to be long standing in the community by providing Lafayette and the surrounding areas quality, affordable arrangements with a singular goal - to please the customer. So much so that they were one of the first flower shops to open on the weekend to better accommodate their customers.

After over 25 years both Mr. Bernard and Mr. Sonnier retired and Mr. Leonard DeRouen took over. For the past decade he has carried on the original vision of Roy and Al to make Roy-Al Flowers and Gifts the place to find beautiful, unique arrangements, always keeping customer satisfaction a top priority.

The arrangement that was delivered looked NOTHING like the one that I ordered. Like not even close. I ordered the Breezy by the Sea arrangement which includes blues and purples, and what I got was full of pink roses (not the types of flowers that were advertised). I understand that substitutions have to be made sometimes depending on availability, but it would have been nice to have been notified because I would not have chosen this.

While I appreciate the thoughtful consideration of a return phone call, after initiating a phone call after seeing hours on Saturday are only 8 am - 10 am regarding a order placed 4 days ahead of time for delivery, I was a little disappointed in the arrangement that was delivered due to product being out of stock. Roy did say an arrangement would still be delivered, but being sent a photo of the arrangement delivered, I do wish I would have just requested a refund.

I received a phone call that the order could not be delivered on the day I needed it. Phone call was received after I received an email saying it was delivered. I cancelled the order because I needed the flowers that day. I have not checked my credit card statement to see if it was refunded. Just a hassle. I usually order flowers (from website) while working offshore and unable to receive phone calls. Luckily I was home this time. I will be getting flowers somewhere else in the future.

The store never delivered flowers. When I called them, the person said “we did not get the order.” When they look on their computer, she said, “oh there it is. We can still deliver something today(a day late) but not what you ordered.” I had to cancel the order and the lady never apologized but blamed the website. How did you find it then? They just never checked their orders. I tried to support a local business but the lack of customer service was horrible. Never again.

The White Cross Standing Spray at my friend's wake and funeral was absolutely gorgeous: dozens of white roses with a diagonal accent of red roses that matched the enormous coffin bouquet. The standing spray was delivered on time for an 8:00 a.m. starting time for the wake. I was happy to discover that Roy-al Flowers and Gifts belongs to a nation-wide floral delivery service. Now I know where to go the next time I need to send flowers outside of Lafayette, LA. Note: I ordered the White Cross Standing Spray online and followed up with a phone call to the shop two days before the wake and funeral. I would advise a follow-up call to the shop in case of a possible glitch in the online ordering process, There had been no glitch with my order, but I like to be super-careful. The online order form includes a space for typing special instructions, and I used that space to convey various details of the delivery.

It has been my experience that funeral arrangements in general are greatly overpriced. However, I have dealt with Roy-al in the past and have been generally satisfied. I was somewhat embarassed at the arrangement that was delivered. If this is "deluxe" I can only imagine how sparse the regular Basket Dish Garden would be. It looked like I ordered the cheapest thing I could find. It was nowhere near worth the price.

I called the day of the scheduled delivery and asked them to wait until the next day after noon to deliver, which they did, as the recipient was not home the day of the original scheduled delivery. Upon delivery the next day, the delivery person stated that he was disappointed in the flower arrangement and would deliver ANOTHER one the following day. Two days later a BEAUTIFUL, large arrangement was delivered. My 70-year old step mother was beyond floored and delighted, and so am I. I will continue to do business with your company, as you have caring staff who deliever quality flowers on time.

There was a slight miscommunication during the covid ordeal. I placed an order online to be delivered the following day. I received an email confirmation that the order went through. On the evening of delivery, I called to follow up on the delivery status. I was informed on the call that they were only working certain days of the week due to covid and the website shouldn't have allowed me to place an order. I was told I would get a credit for my purchase the next business day. After some disappointment, the owner asked what my order was and the occasion, and knew he didn't have what I ordered in stock but offered to go into the shop and put something together with what he had. Not only did he put together a last minute beautiful arrangement after hours, but he made the delivery happen on the scheduled day. This is what you call top notch customer service! If you are in the Lafayette area, I would highly recommend this company.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
