Whitney Virden
Hello! My name is Whitney and I am the owner of Roots + Blooms. We were established out of a pure love for flowers and a calling to create. Our style was born from the connection between mother nature and commercially grown florals. Starting my flower journey, I had very little access to commercial flowers, so I developed my techniques through foraging and designing with wildflowers. Therefore our designs tend to take on a more natural organic look. However if you are looking for something more traditional we can certainly accomplish that look as well. Thank you for stopping by to learn more about me and my love for flowers!

I received a notice that flowers were delivered to the grave of my father, Lovell V. Chaney, but no notice that flowers were delivered to the grave of my mother, Marie D. Chaney. Also, I did not receive a photo of the flowers on the graves.

Ordered flowers for Mothers Day. Delivered on time. My mom indicated the arrangement was good but several flowers were wilted when they arrived. Also stated the water was dirty so she changed the water. I did not see the flowers as I don’t live near her, but she was not overly pleased with what was delivered.

We ordered this for someone within our organization that had a death in the family. The day it was to be delivered we had a terrible arctic blast with temperatures around zero and wind chills well below. Roads were treacherous. Even though we figured it would be delayed, they called us to let us know that it would be delivered the following day. What amazing customer service to call us! Not only that, the arrangement was absolutely beautiful. I was able to easily order and pay online and they emailed me a picture of the arrangement when they finished it. We were very pleased with Roots + Blooms and highly recommend them!

I am not the kind of person who typically complains, but I felt it important that you know how disappointed I am with my recent order from Roots + Blooms. I placed an order for the Pumpkin Spice arrangement. The morning of the delivery I received a call From your shop informing me that the special pumpkin vases are not available and that you will not be getting any more in. She offered a cow or a cowboy boot option. Not a “Fall Theme” and I told the person on the phone I was really disappointed that I was not getting what I had ordered. In an attempt to smooth over the situation, she said she would do something "extra" for the order. I said, well that would be a very nice gesture and told her that I would appreciate the effort. However, this afternoon my friend sent me a text showing me the photo of the actual flowers she received. The bouquet appeared less than fresh and that two of the roses look as though they should be in the trash. Comparing those to the photo on your website, and to a similar photo on your Facebook page, I agree.
When I called to address this at the store the person who answered did not state the name of your business and told me there was no one there who could help me and that someone would call tomorrow. Later that same person informed me that the roses are "supposed to look like that".
It’s not just that the product was disappointing, but the service was as well. And “someone” has not called me back yet. I don't pay this chunk of change for flowers every day. I will definitely hesitate before doing it again.

First time to order from this flower shop and will never use them again! Several of us went in to surprise a coworker for her birthday at work. We ordered the premium size thinking the flowers would come larger and fuller in size. When the flower was delivered it looked horrible. The sunflower only has a few petals and the greenery was wilted and hanging on side of vase. I am truly shocked that a business would allow a product to be delivered in the shape it was. I called the shop right away and was asked “what I wanted to do to fix it” I explained the issues. She explained that the sunflowers were old and she hadn’t gotten any new ones in until after she had already put my flowers together. A few new sunflowers were redelivered in a baggie of water and my coworkers and I tried to fix the arrangement the best we could. I would not recommend this shop!

The only reason I gave it a 3/5 stars is because the next day on 2/15 they were wilting and now today is 2/17 and they are all dead. Absolutely gorgeous flowers + arrangements. Not only are their flowers everything anyone could ever want, they also delivered immediately! I ordered this arrangement for a friend whose grandmother’s funeral was the next day. I ordered at 3pm & they DELIVERED WITHIN THE HOUR. Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
