Ponderosa Flower Shoppe
For over 50 years, Ponderosa Flower Shoppe has served Camarillo and all of Ventura County. Family owned and operated, we take pride in creating the ideal floral arrangements for every occasion. From today's new styles to traditional arrangements, we are always looking to exceed our customers expectations. We are exploring ways towards reducing our carbon footprint by composting our green and flower waste and have implemented a glass vase/container recycling program.

Yvonne is not only the head designer but also the owner. She has been with Ponderosa Flower Shoppe since 1992 learning design technique from the founding owner and head designer, Gary Bouett.

My son-in-law and daughter just loved the flowers. They were for their 3rd wedding anniversary. I didn't know what to send them, so I thought flowers would be nice. They sent me pictures of them, and they look just like this picture. In fact, they sent me another picture a few days later and they looked the same. I was thinking of ordering from an online flower delivery service and remembered that when I placed an order from a local florist for my other daughter that lives in Spring, TX, the local florist flowers are much nicer. They were delivered at 11:30 am, so they had more time to enjoy them.

From the time I placed my order, their communication was flawless and I was surprised to see they kept me updated throughout the entire process. I received communication confirming my order, a picture after the arrangement was complete, an email letting me know it was out for delivery, and a follow up confirming the delivery was successful! They were caring, attentive, and the arrangement was beautiful. The flowers were vibrant, fresh and arranged perfectly. When sending any kind of gift I prefer to use a local shop, rather than a huge chain. Ponderosa was that shop for these flowers. They photographed the actual vase and flowers before making the delivery (you never really know if it will look like the sample photo, right?) which I really appreciate. The bouquet was gorgeous. My person wasn't home when they made the next morning delivery, but they called to tell me it was left on the porch, something else I appreciate -- being informed. I am confused. After I ordered the flowers I cancelled the delivery by email and received an email confirmation. I stopped by on Thursday before Valentines as I stated I would and picked up the beautiful flowers and the card personally so I could hand deliver to another friend who would appreciated them more. On Friday, I received a call with a gentleman calling and asking for a Galina Ternovaya, trying a make a delivery. I told him that delivery had been cancelled and picked up at the store the day before. Was the delivery made despite my cancellation. I hope not!!

Very nice, beautifully arranged & designed. Love the stocks of wheat and autumn leaves. Next year you might consider putting in some cat-tails or pussy willows, or putting the arrangement in a basket or wicker cornucopia to add to the image of the Thanksgiving (harvest) holiday.

After FTD FAILED me and neglected to deliver flowers to my friend's mother's memorial service, I decided to find a florist near my friend. That's the way to go! (FTD won't tell you which local flower shop they use). This is the first florist that has actually sent me a snapshot of the arrangement before delivering it. This is exceptional. I've had over arrangements sent from other cities and when the recipient sent me a picture with themselves it didn't match what I had selected. I understand some items being out of stock on occasion but one expects it to somewhat look like what was selected. I would absolutely use them again.

Have always trusted Pondersosa flower shop and never disappointed until now. Ordered a bouquet and added Premium to it to make it grand. When I received the photo of the bouquets from the shop and my Mother, I was shocked! It looked cheap, and there was NOTHING premium about it. I got taken and my “usual” trusty flower shop in Simi Valley, Michael’s could not deliver to Camarillo. I was really upset never had a problem with this and Ponderosa but, unless I cannot pick up & physically see the flowers I WILL NOT order here again sadly and I would not recommend. You pay extra for premium you expect more this was even subpar for standard. Will not be suckered again. ;(

This arrangement was a big disappointment compared to the other two Bloomnation locations we've ordered from. We discovered this when the recipient sent a picture thanking us. We were surprised that it did not resemble the photo of the flowers we ordered online. There were very few roses and peonies and zero hydrangeas. There was however, an abundance of cheap flowers; carnations, gerber daisies and a lot of cheap filler flowers, none of which were in the online photo. The only positive is that they were delivered promptly.

The occasion for the order was to celebrate the retirement for my mother. I made sure to type all the information correctly on the card she would receive to make it special for her accomplishment. She loved the flowers and they exceeded my expectation, however I did notice that her name was misspelled on the card that was delivered. It seems that something as important as the name of the recipient should be given more importance.

I highly recommend this florist! I placed my order, but also called Ponderosa Flower Shoppe to request an early delivery on a Saturday (and also to see if I could add a birthday balloon!) I spoke to Esther, who was extremely nice and accommodating. She said she would make sure my order would be on the delivery truck in the morning first thing. She also said she would pick out a nice balloon to go along with the flowers. I received a photo from Bloom Nation and it looked just like the picture on the website, so I was pleased. But when our family sent us a picture of the arrangement with my mom-in-law (the recipient) holding it on her lap, you could see it in perspective and the arrangement was enormous! I wasn't expecting that! So I would definitely go back to this florist again and again!

Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
