About Us
I grew up going to work with my Mom in our family's greenhouse and flower shop in Encinitas. I love to being able to still support some of the growers I grew up with. My team and I have been working hard to open our new location, Petals & Gemstones in beautiful Bonsall. You will find me twirling flowers, doing paperwork and gazing at all of the beautiful Gemstones in between. I would love to meet you, please stop in our store in River Village!
I own Matteson's Florist in Encinitas and I'm so excited to be here in Bonsall with our new studio, Petals & Gemstones. I grew up picking tulips in our greenhouse right across the street from Ponto Beach. These days, we grow scented greenery and little blooms that you will find in your arrangements here and there. My favorite thing is incorporating gemstones into floral or plant gifts. They far outlast the flowers and we find that our clients treasure them forever.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
