ABOUT THE STORE
No.9

I am thrilled to announce No. 9, a unique new retail concept store in San Antonio. Five years ago, my partner and I visited New Orleans for the first time together, and since that we trip we have been back many times. We have a love affair with the city, its people, its history, and its spirit. Every time we visit, we bring back a piece of the city’s soul and culture. No. 9 is a reflection of that. When I started Statue of Design over 9 years ago, I never anticipated the growth we’ve experienced lately. But because of the love and loyalty our clients and others in the community have shown us, I decided to expand into retail floral and gifts. No. 9 is a specialty shop focusing on unique retail floral, specialty gourmet chocolates from the Sweet Shop USA, with a focus on inspired gifts handcrafted and made in San Antonio and New Orleans. We’ve combined French Creole and Mexican culture to provide the San Antonio community with an array of products that can’t be found anywhere else. We are excited about this new venture and can’t wait to show you more! – David Garcia & the crew of No. 9

ABOUT THE OWNER
David Garcia

As a child, I always had a keen interest in art. I have vivid memories of my first pop-up book from Edward Gorey, the first time i saw Salvador Dali’s melted clocks, and curiosities about the woman with one eyebrow, Frida Khalo. All three of these artists have one thing in common, they defied conformity and created their own new genres. I never imagined I would end up as a floral designer, but i knew whatever I did, it would have to challenge my creativity. Lets just say I “fell” into the wedding industry and have been hooked ever since. Being an artist first gives me an advantage of having a “non-conformative” perspective to weddings and events. I have made it my mission to push the boundaries in the industry, leaving lasting impressions of the work we produce for any occasion.

Hermoso! The flower arrangement I selected was via the website. I selected the Season of Love! It was for a co-worker's birthday. She absolutely loved it and brought tears of joy. The delivery was successful even on a cold rainy January day. I offered special instructions to include the office number and building as this arrangement was delivered at one of the Alamo Colleges. The flower arrangement was beautiful and the flowers selected were a combination of unique colorful flowers and roses. I look forward to ordering again in the near future.

I ordered online the night before I needed it delivered, no issues at all with ordering, very easy. Flowers and a really cool vase were delivered next day and she loved both equally! The vase is really cool and different (will be used as a nice incense burner with some colored sand in it afterwards) and she said the flowers are absolutely gorgeous in color and arrangement! My mother-in-law was thrilled with her Mother's Day flowers from No. 9. I appreciated Angel calling me in advance when they did not have one of the flowers shown in the arrangement on the web site so we could decide on an alternative. I emphasized I wanted the flowers not only to be beautiful but also to smell wonderful. When my mother-in-law contacted me to thank us for the flowers, the first thing she said is the arrangement both looked and smelled great! Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.

Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone. Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
