Dale Newton
Mr. Dale Newton, owner, manager and head designer of Sumter's premier florist is an award winning graduate designer of the American Floral Art School in Chicago and has been serving Sumter with flowers and plants for over 40 years.. He was also the host and producer of the long time running T.V. show "Living Green" which aired on S.C. Educational Television for many years.

The delivery was first thing and it didn’t disappoint. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for the occasion. My Mom is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease and every day is very special. Those flowers were waiting on her and they put a big smile on her face! She doesn’t speak a lot now but she said “beautiful” as soon as she saw them. I thank whoever put them together and the person who delivered them today. You made our day and this occasion more special than it already was. Thank you so much! We asked for the delivery to be three days earlier than the online purchase date was provided, due to it being a funeral. The staff was fully understanding and saw to it that the plant was delivered the day before the funeral!

I ordered the "Day and Night" arrangement. The image online shows yellow and purple flowers with greenery. I specifically ordered this arrangement for the yellow lilies and purple flowers neither of which were in the bouquet delivered. I wonder if the recipient even received the correct order. The personalized message was printed, cut out, and taped to decorative paper. For a $70 bouquet I expected better. Also I asked the deliverer to leave the order on the front step out of the footpath if no one answered instead they knocked aggressively and incessantly for several minutes till someone came to the door. One of the residents pulled up as he was delivering the order and thinking his house was being attacked was ready to pull out his gun in self defense. The arrangement that was delivered was pretty but the quality and way it was delivered was disappointing. I am not sure I will be ordering from or recommending Newton's Greenhouse and Florist.

Ordered flowers for our 15th wedding anniversary, and could not be happier. Up until now I ordered from FTD, 1800flowers, etc as it was convenient. Thought to try the local florist and will never go elsewhere now. The quality is far above what comes in a box, and hand delivery to the front door made her day. Awesome experience.

I was very disappointed in my purchase. I could count the number of leaves on the plant. On the picture the plant looked full but the actual plant was very skimpy! I paid good money for a plant (85) in all. The look worth no more than 15 dollars. The 2 stars were because they reached out about the delivery.

I live in Ridgeville, and was looking for a florist that offers deliveries in the Sumter area. Newton’s had just what I was looking for! I placed the order online, and requested the flowers be delivered before lunch the following day, if possible. Sure enough, the flowers were delivered well before lunch. I highly recommend Newton’s, if you need flowers for any occasion in Sumter!

Wonderful experience with Newton’s Florist. The basket dish garden was absolutely beautiful. It was delivered promptly as I wished I had screwed up when I ordered it on line and put the wrong delivery date there when I actually wanted it delivered over a week sooner. I discovered my error and I called Newton’s and they got it delivered that day which was amazing as it was already after normal business hours. You won’t be disappointed with Newton’s Florist.

Newton's Florist hand delivered the Peace Lily plant to my relatives in Sumter, SC during their time of bereavement. Although the Azalea plant (which was our first choice) was not available, the florist promptly contacted me to offer a different plant for the same price. I ordered the arrangement for a funeral and viewing. The viewing was on Valentine's Day. THE busiest day of the year for florists. Online, the only date I could choose was the day after Valentine's. I asked in special requests section for the possibility of Valentine's . The flowers were delivered early on Valentine's day and they were beautiful. I was thrilled. Thank you for the great work!
