Newport Florist and Gifts
Hi! I'm Tarrah Richardson. My husband, Ryan Richardson, and I own Newport Florist and Gifts. We are very blessed and thankful to be a special part of the Newport, Oregon community by providing flowers for special occasions. Our desire is to put care and creativity into each order. This is a family affair! Our daughters are often with us at the shop. Our two older daughters are talented designers; and the youngest is certainly talented and helpful and will no doubt learn the trade as well. I have been in the floral industry for over 27 years. Floral design has been a life-long passion for me. I love teaching classes and sharing my knowledge of design and delight in flowers. Ryan often delivers and does lots of other stuff, when he's not at our other business, CrossFit Newport. PRIVACY POLICY and TERMS AND CONDITIONS We collect email and phone numbers from customers who come to our shop in person and ASK to be put on our communication list in order to be notified of classes and events. We NEVER sell customer information. Nor do we use info for any purpose other than offering our services to existing clients. Please call us if you have any questions or concerns at 541-265-8262.

Newport Florist and Gifts is the shop to call when you want artistic and creative flower art and gifts. We are happy to offer our clients a large variety of local and Oregon grown flowers. We also are passionate about advancing the art of floral design; and seek to do so through our floral design classes and our DIY flower stations where you can come and create your own arrangements.

While it arrived in great time and looked nice, the actual number of stems was about 1/2 of what is pictured (not including greenery). Flowers started wilting on day 2. I love using y'all because you are local to Newport and will continue to do so. Hopefully you can make some slight adjustments to ensure the quality stays on top as it always has!

A notification was sent to her phone is how she knew there was a delivery.
A day & a half later, Monday the few roses in the bouquet were turning brown around the edges. ~Disappointed again

First time using them. Great location, five minutes from home. Made pick-up very convenient. Placing my order on the website was super easy. Everyone in the store was super nice and friendly. One lady stopped me on the way out so my little boy could pick out a beanie baby. On the house. We got an alligator. Will definitely use them again.

I paid extra for a premium version and left a 20% tip for a total of $133.00 It wasn’t any grander than the standard version as advertised in the photo for much less . Sorry I’m disappointed but it was our 37th anniversary yesterday and I was expecting a little more out of the premium version. My wife Kim did think it was cute .

I had put in an Internet order from a competitor late on Friday and discovered early Monday that they would not be able to fulfill the order.
I then contacted Newport Flowers and Gifts and requested a nice live plant arrangement for delivery later on the same day.
Terrie made sense of my gibbering request and created a beautiful arrangement of houseplants that will be with my mom for month and months to come.
She texted me an image of the result and said the arrangement, in a darling basket, and said it was ‘lovely’. I’m very happy with the service.

As I have stated in a couple different places on the website, we usually cannot make an arrangement look like the inspiration photo. We have to try to make it look as close as possible with what we currently have in stock. And our stock constantly changes… Especially during a holiday like Mother’s Day.
I will be taking a look at the math of the designer who filled your arrangement to make sure that she gave you the premium value.

My sister sent me a photo of the arrangement she received. Other than the little bird feeder, the arrangement wasn't as attractive as your online photo. Any substituted blooms, didn't come close to the offering on your website. Delivery was timely, though.

Had the succulent plant delivered to my mom for her birthday and she loved it! The succulents were big and healthy. There were enough of them that she could potentially divide them and re-pot them separately in the future! I was so pleased that they added a special touch of ocean decor that wasn't included in the display shown online. The flowers I ordered were for funeral and as it turned out, the only floral arrangement there! It was an informal setting and the flowers I ordered were put next to the sign in book. I live in New York and as my SIL lives in Seal Rock, I have used your florist at least twice a year for a number of years now. Every order regardless of the occasion has been, as my SIL states, simply gorgeous. She always sends me pictures that are exactly like the photos on your website. I’ve sent multiple emails with no response in an effort to not post a review. I’ve used this small business many times over the years and find myself very disappointed with my last transaction. First the I received a call saying the arrangement had gone to the correct business but the driver had assumed the location so it was not delivered the day as paid for. The next day my friend wasn’t at work and by the time the delivery was made (e-mail said after 5 pm) the driver took it to the ER at the hospital and again NOT the address listed. The flowers sat for days before some one noticed the card so by the time they got to the recipient the birthday was the week prior and very expensive arrangement wilted. I have never had such a terrible interaction with any flower service.

The ladies here are very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. They didn't have the exact plant that i ordered on the website, they called right away and offered other options, asking questions about what I wanted to make sure they gave us the right plant. I’ll be calling and asking for a refund when business hours resume on Monday. I paid $83! For a bouquet to be delivered yesterday - ahead of the birthday they were for as it fell on a Sunday - My order was confirmed for delivery on the day selected but the flowers were not delivered! If there was a problem with the delivery date and delivery couldn’t happen, I should have been notified.

Well to tell you the truth we were disappointed in what was sent to our employee. We spent close to $100.00. Our employee received it as asked however, it was in a generic clear bubble glass vase. We didn't expect it to be exactly as the picture depicts, but we did expect it to be a more unusual vase then just the generic clear. Also, because we had asked for 1 size up, we expected at least something much fuller then it was and instead she received a small little bouquet that looked nice and had fresh flowers, but not anything we expected. Very small bouquet for the price we paid.

Disappointed with the order. The flowers delivered were not what was ordered, seen in this picture. The picture shows lavender or purple roses - none were in the arrangement delivered, instead I got Gerber Daisies. For the price paid, it was not worth it. I don't understand how they can get away with that and stay in business. These were for my 15 year old daughter who had her four wisdom teeth pulled. She of course didn't notice the difference but I did when she sent me a photo of them. Take my advice.. go elsewhere.

This was an extraordinary experience. I live across country and found them by googling. I needed a custom bouquet delivered the same day, our daughter had just gotten the part of a mermaid in a local musical production. I requested something with a mermaid feel. Our daughter was overjoyed and surprised when later in the afternoon came a wondrous display with blues, greens and purples. It was set off with an interesting branched plant that resembled coral, shells, sand dollars, pearls... items that gave it a vibrant, luscious look.

Awful, rude florist by the name of Tarrah Richardson. She did not deliver the "mom" mason jar, only a standard jar (My mothers birthday) and when I sent her a message, her only resolution was to go back to my mother's place of work and take the flowers back and issue a refund that way. I just wanted my mom to get the special "mom" flower arrangement.. and snatching the flowers back from her would hardly be the solution. Will not EVER do business with them again. I was worried that it might not be delivered by 5:00 the next day; as the site said it couldn't guarantee a specific delivery time. By 10:00 Friday morning, I heard from my friend who was overjoyed with the gift. On my 30th birthday, my little sister did something very special for me and so when it came to be Her 30th birthday, I knew I had to do something special as well. However, she decided to go on vacation with her husband and my parents for her birthday weekend, in Lincoln City, OR! I decided I would have to send her flowers from afar- but they had better be special! I happened upon Newport Florist by googling florists near Lincoln City, and chose them based on their beautiful arrangements. I chose a beautiful chalkboard box for the arrangement, had a special message, and was ecstatic to find I could additionally send Cinnamon rolls to my sister and brother in law, with the flower arrangement!
Well, I have never sent flowers from out of state before, and I was a little nervous- I had to make sure everything was special and just right! I called the florist shop to make sure they had received all of my instructions and would be able to accommodate them. The kind woman I spoke to let me know that they were unfortunately out of the chalkboard box I had wanted and their order wouldn't be in in time for the delivery. However, she offered to hand paint another box she had with chalkboard paint, and write my special message. She also ensured my sister would get a variety of fragrant roses, her favorite flower, in the arrangement. I trusted her to do a lovely job with the box and arrangement, based on what I had seen on the website, so I told her to go ahead.
The next conversation that we had, they were extremely accommodating about my request that they communicate with my mother when they were close to making the delivery, so my mom could make sure that they were there to receive the flowers and take them directly inside, in windy Lincoln City.
Today, the day of the delivery, I received a text message from the owner with a picture of the arrangement. I had not asked her to do this but she was so considerate and thoughtful to do that for me! She said she thought I might like to see it and I did. It exceeded my expectations! The fact that she went above and beyond by sending me that picture, Wow. I felt so good about doing business with her and so happy with my choice!
And let me tell you, my sister was blown away. She was so surprised, as planned and she adored the flowers and cinnamon rolls(made by Newport Florist owner's mother!!)! My mom sent me pictures of my sister receiving the flowers, and, I haven't seen her that happy from a gift I have given her before.
I am so happy with Newport Florist!! They really put my mind at ease from out of town, and in every way they exemplified what a good, honest, local business Should be. Call them if you need flowers!!! You will be SO GLAD you did.

The website was quick and easy to use. I just pulled out my phone and five minutes later, I placed my order for next day delivery. However, I'm not sure how many deliveries you guys had on a Tuesday, but my mother didn't receive her flowers until 10 minutes before closing. Which - while I didn't specify a time - seems a little unprofessional and unorthodox. Not only did she receive her flowers late in the day, but she told me half the of the flowers were dead or dying. I understand bouquets are picked flowers, but I spent about $45 on this. I didn't expect her to get a vase of dead flowers. That doesn't seem fair or acceptable. I've tried calling the location to speak to someone about it, but no one seems to be answering the phone. I spent a fair amount of money on these flowers for my mother on her birthday and they were not acceptable, in my opinion.

Also, I upgraded to the next level of flowers...and all I can see is random shoots of bluebells and some fern leaves. Nothing in the bouquet you made was purple, and honestly the flowers looked hastily put together and not like a $75 arrangement at all. I would say the only thing that matched in what I ordered and what was delivered was the bird in the nest decoration, which I didn't like anyway. What you sent didn't match the expression of love and honor I was going for in sending those flowers. I try to keep local florists in mind, but consistency is probably why so many people use 1-800-flowers and other services.
