My Secret Garden is known for beautiful, unique, one of a kind, made to order floral arrangements. Our award winning designers are constantly searching, finding, growing and purchasing the healthiest, most amazing, premium flowers , locally and from around the globe. We take the utmost care processing, designing, and arranging, using a combination of time tested and modern techniques from over 60 years of experience. This ensures your arrangements will be at their highest possible quality. When in season, we utilize flowers and greenery from our own local farm, located just outside Columbia. This commitment to local plants and flowers sets us apart from flower shops everywhere. We never compromise quality. ABOUT THE OWNER
Ruth LaHue
Ruth LaHue is founder and President of My Secret Garden. Since 1979, My Secret Garden has developed a brand known for a distinctively different approach to floral design. Using nature as her guide, LaHue never puts limits on her approach to floral design. "The elements and principles of design must be mastered, but you should not let them hold you back. Reach a little further. Let your creativity guide you." LaHue graduated from Albuquerque Floral Art School in 1974. She studied art, horticulture and science at the University of New Mexico and the University of Missouri and continues to study in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana (Japanese floral design). After working in the floral industry for 46 years LaHue says of her career,"There are always new discoveries to find, flowers I've never seen before, design techniques and color combinations to try. To be a florist is an ever changing, always evolving, continually interesting occupation" LaHue's work has been seen in national publications: Grace Ormond Wedding Style, Colonial Homes, and Women & Success magazines, as well is also regularly featured in local newspapers and magazines. Among the awards My Secret Garden has received, LaHue is most proud of: The Columbia Chamber of Commerce's Small Retail Business of the Year", recognition from Partners in Education for her continued work with children and flowers in elementary schools, and Peoples Choice awards from UMC's Museum of Art and Archeology for her creative designs in Art in Bloom, among them "Best in Show". You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (573) 443-1546, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?

What an wonderful time and experience. Learned lots and got lots of experience applying that knowledge. Jess did a great job explaining what we were doing and why. Plus at the end you have a gorgeous bouquet.
The only thing I would ask for in the future is an extra half an hour to slow the pace just a bit.

My Secret Garden is absolutely the best in both product quality and customer service. I ordered a birthday bouquet to be delivered. I received a call from the florist regarding the outside temperature where the delivery was to occur (to be left on the doorstep), as the orchid in the bouquet is tropical. So I switched the delivery location, and the flowers were dropped off at that new location immediately following the call. A followup call from the florist resulted, confirming the dropoff. I also received a text photo of the floral arrangement from the birthday girl…absolutely stunning, in flower selection and color! I will definitely be ordering more flowers through My Secret Garden.

My Secret Garden has always exceeded my expectations with the arrangements I have ordered. Not only are they always gorgeous and at a fair price but the deliveries are always punctual too. This time, the recipient wasn’t home when I expected so I received a notice from My Secret Garden that the first delivery attempt was unsuccessful. When I called to let them know what time the recipient would be home, they thanked me profusely, told me they had left a message for the recipient and a note on the door and would ensure that the arrangement was redelivered asap. Two hours later, the recipient received the redelivery. It is difficult to find this level of quality and customer service these days and I am grateful.

I've had arrangements from My Secret Garden in the past and they've been stunning. This was meh. It didn't look like the picture -- they substituted monochromatic flowers from the same family and it looked less dramatic. More disappointing though is it started dropping petals as soon as I unwrapped it and a third of the flowers are wilting after just two days.

It’s great that they send you a photo of arrangement BEFORE they deliver it, so if you need to make changes you can. I am from out of state, and my arrangement was for a funeral. For a short-notice order sent entirely online while traveling outside the country, Secret Garden provided a seamless experience with a beautiful product, along with fantastic customer service. I even made a mistake of selecting the wrong delivery date during check-out - I sent an email and left a voicemail on their number, and they responded right away first thing in the morning confirming the correction I needed. Well done and thank you for the gorgeous arrangement! Recommendation: if possible, increase the number of characters allowed in the "message to recipient" - it's tough to cut it to only 150 characters!
