An "old school" florist, locally owned and operated since 1947, Moore Flowers is located on the west side of Wichita, at the corner of Maple + Maize. Hi, to preface this review, I haven’t even seen my bouquet yet. I ordered a bouquet for my mother-in-law’s birthday and requested to pick it up the day of. I was at work all day so I entered my phone number and asked my fiance to be ready to pick up when I received the call. Well at 5:30 I still hadn’t received any sort of notification, which I thought was odd. I looked up the emailed receipt to find the phone number, only to find out that they tell their customers to call them to find out when the flowers are ready?? To make matters worse, they had already closed for the day. Why would I give you my phone number and select an option to receive updates if I’M supposed to call you?? This information was only in the receipt email, which I didn’t check because I had already completed my order….and I’m quite frustrated that there was no contact even though no one came to pick up the flowers on the day they were ordered to be picked up….i spent $80 on flowers and I’m feeling like i should’ve spent half of that at the grocery store for that level of customer care. I’m going to go in today and pick up her flowers and talk with the store manager .

I ordered flowers on the 17th and the hospital had moved my friend to the ICU for almost a week. Moore Flowers were quick to call me and explain that they can’t deliver to ICU. UPDATE: I was contacted by Moore Flowers first thing Monday and they made everything better! My mother in-law did receive her flowers today, Monday and they are beautiful! I truly appreciate Moore Flowers just immediately offer a way to fix everything without me having to get on the phone and “fight” for compensation for this unfortunate mistake. Paid 50 dollars plus delivery for them to ignore my request to have them delivered before 4pm on Valentines day. The driver didn’t prioritize deliveries and then when I called to mention it, they were supposed to be delivered first thing the following day. They didn’t show up until the afternoon. After seeing the bouquet of flowers, they weren’t traditional valentines flowers. My card I had wrote out, said thank you for being my valentine, I thought it might be a slight indicator to the florist to maybe choose flowers for the occasion. They were literally something I’d send my sick grandmother in the hospital. I gave it a shot, seeing their sign advertising’s driving by. Probably won’t order flowers from here again.

It was fine but really disappointing. The flowers were pretty but this photo is deceiving. For a “deluxe” arrangement that ultimately was $85, it was remarkably underwhelming. I would hate to see what you get for less. This was very small and not what I was expecting.

I have used Moore Flowers before and thought they did a great job. This time not so much. Truthfully, I thought it was an ugly arrangement. For $75 we got 3 giant sunflowers, one large rose, three stalks of snapdragon and three carnations. And lots and lots and lots of lavender statice and greenery. I moved the sunflowers and some greenery to a new vase and bought $12 worth of grocery store roses to add to the original arrangement. Much prettier. Also, we noted that we like pink, blue and white. We got orange, purple and yellow as the primary flower notes. The snapdragons were pink and white (I guess as a nod to our preference); the carnations were wine colored and the rose was yellow/orange. The sunflowers were the dominant flower and bright yellow.

I hate to leave a bad review, but I felt there was a disconnect between the picture of flowers I ordered vs what was delivered. Major one was the vase. Which typically is not a big deal, but in this instance was the selling point for my purchase. The vase was white, which was a pretty contrast to red roses, but what was delivered was clear glass with a poorly tied silver Ribbon. The Rose arrangement didn't exactly match but still was pretty and delivery was on time.
