I have a cousin in MA and asked for her help to find me a good local florist. She made a few calls and landed at Methuen Flowers. I did not find this designer to be interested in what I wanted for my friend. At one point she specifically said "Don't tie my hands".
She also said that people are often surprised by the arrangement. The sense that I got was that people received more than they had expected. While I received more flowers that is not what I was looking for. I found her very difficult to work with. She put together something that was very different than what I had asked for.

The delivery driver called because my wife wasn’t home when she arrived and rather than leave them on the porch in the cold she chose to wait till my wife got home to hand deliver them, even though I said she didn’t have to. Second time ordering, first time was fantastic. This time not so much. Ordered a purple blue summertime bouquet for my mothers birthday. Received a snapshot of what was sent, and it was more “red” than blue and purple. If I wanted “red” I would’ve ordered that. Also seems smaller than last time for Deluxe. The order was placed a week ahead so the florist could accommodate the order. Received an email the night before saying they were changing the bouquet. I assumed it would be the same colors. Why post something on your website and then change to what you want, not what the customer picked? Especially when you have a week to find the colors to match. Not very good customer service. Also did not receive a delivery notice until midnight. Last time it was within an hour of delivery. Will look elsewhere next time.

Methuen Flowers was fantastic to work with! The photo from BloomNation did not do justice to how lovely the basket was. But the best part of the transaction was how accomodating Methuen Flowers was as my needs changed after the original order was placed - I had to change the delivery date, since the flowers were intended to be delivered to a cousin who had gone into hospice care as something to cheer her final days, but she passed away before the scheduled delivery of the flowers, and Methuen Flowers graciously changed the delivery date, destination, and card to be appropriate for the wake a few days later. I was impressed by the quick response, and the kindness of the note I received, and the beauty of the arrangement! What a fantastic company that is!
