Wow, just wow. Laurelhurst Florist did an amazing job making a unique and stunning bouquet for my friend's birthday in the middle of winter. Our colleague's mom passed away this week, so I hopped online to find a florist to send flowers. I found Laurelhurst Florist at 6:30pm and made a little plea to have the bouquet to be delivered the next day (it was!) be "Please make it beautiful! Elegant and soothing to look at. Pinks or purples. Tasteful" because we love our our colleague so much.

This is part of the email we received back from her, "I just want to thank you for a most beautiful flower arrangement. It is truly magnificent and makes me happy every time I walk through my dining room

The flowers are beautiful and they were delivered in the afternoon as requested!

The only problem I had was they were delivered to the wrong address initially, so the driver had to call the recipient which ruined the surprise a bit. Driver said the address was wrong on the order, but the address in the confirmation email and printed on the envelope with the flowers was correct. We got them and they’re beautiful and mistakes happen, just a bit bummed they weren’t a surprise when they arrived.

I've used Laurelhurst Florist many times. My wife is a nurse across the street from this florist. The flowers have always been of great quality and look beautiful. They have always delivered on time. I plan to continue to use this florist again.

Amazing as usual, I can always rely on Laurelhurst Florists to deliver something high quality and impressive every time.

The bouquet is beautiful and is very similar to the one pictured. I had ordered it for my daughter, who was in the hospital for surgery. Because the hospital was short staffed, the flowers were not delivered to my daughter's room on the day they were promised. I called the next day to see where they were, and found out the bouquet was still down at the main lobby information desk. That was not the fault of Laurelhurst Florist. They were delivered when promised. The hospital failed to take them to the patient's room.

Ordered on a Sunday night, hoping they could get it out on Monday, which they did. Actual bouquet was larger and prettier than I was expecting and my daughter loved them.

The actual arrangement, as the website noted, had substituted other greens for the beautiful pictured rounded-leaved ones and flowers (like zinnias) for more delicate soft pink carnations in the photo. It was generous, bright and festive rather than a bit Victorian and delicate in mood. As I said, my daughter loved it!

Here's the bad news: the flowers were just left on her doorstep. Apparently the delivery person didn't ring the doorbell, so they just sat there for a while outside, on the hottest day of the year. Please don't do that next time - I'd like to do business again!

Superb service. I arranged last minute for a mother's day bouquet with Laurelhurst Florist after my usual florist sold out early for the holiday. On the day of scheduled delivery the flowers were marked as delivered and I assumed that was the end of it.

On Sunday afternoon my dad called me to let me know they hadn't seen any deliveries. I called and emailed Laurelhurst Florist to let them know my situation and dreaded the outcome since it seemed they wouldn't be opening until the following Monday.

The owner called me back less than five minutes later and assured me that they would make this right. They delivered a lovely bouquet to my mother not long afterwards and saved the day. I was so impressed by this response and feel so grateful for the quick, compassionate reply that I received. Thank you so much!

Flowers seemed to be the mostly the same, but arrangement was not as broad, bold nor as dramatic. Colors weren’t as much in the deeper Pinot noir colors that drew me to this choice.

Flowers were the usual quality. When the only directions were to deliver earlier the better and still nothing when we leave at 1pm, that’s disappointing. Within 3 minutes of store. Have no idea when they did show up, but were here when we returned at 4:30 pm. IF there’s a next time I will give a specific delivery time, and probably not tip ahead of time

But when I called Laurelhurstflorist, the lady that answered the phone was extremely patient and even offered a solution to my issue that I hadn’t thought of. I'm always nervous when sending flowers to someone out of the area I live in. Laurelhurst exceeded my expectations. The Kombucha arrangement looked exactly like the website picture and my mother-in-law really liked it. Laurelhurst will be my go-to florist from now on.

I ordered the Hibiscus Tea arrangement for my mother in law who turned 90 on Saturday. I included a note in the order to let them know that it was her birthday that day, and that I knew they would make it extra special. by 4p.m. nothing had been delivered. I called...left a message but received a call back quickly. I explained my concern and was told that it was out of their hands...that their deliveries are outsourced to a delivery company, so basically she'll receive it whenever they deliver it. Some long explanation of how the city is divided up, etc which had little to do with the problem and lack of accountability. When I said I was disappointed that there wasn't any hint that it would be a late in the day delivery, I was told that maybe I should have ordered them for delivery the day before (who wants day old flowers on their 90th birthday?). She called me back a few minutes later to let me know it would be delivered at or around 5pm (as the party was waning). And if it wasn't, she would refund my $150. This was a special birthday, and the arrangement was beautiful. But the customer service was bad enough to negate that, and I wouldn't shop there again. Flippant customer service is never a good idea.

I sent my daughter who is living in Portland at the moment "Designer's Choice - Deluxe" from Laurelhurst Florist. The arrangement of flowers certainly lived up to my expectations. A beautiful Spring bouquet. As I am in Sydney, Australia it was unknown to me but I am very happy with your service and will be in contact again.

Hi - I'm really sort of confused. I know there was a lot going on yesterday post-storm and Valentines rush, but the bouquet that our friend received wasn't anything like the wrap we chose. It was in a vase and it was pink roses with baby's breath - not what I would have sent to my co-worker for her birthday. I know flowers are seasonal but I expected something more like the picture and less like a valentines bouquet.

The bouquet as delivered looked quite different from what I had ordered. There were so many substitutions and different colors, I would not have chosen the one that was delivered. The bouquet is pretty, but I wanted one that was mostly red, and the one received had a lot of yellow. Still pretty, but not as advertised. They delivered on time.

The bouquet we received does not look much like the picture and it seems a lot more green/leaves were used than flowers compared to the picture.

That said, it was beautiful and perfect and the flower / green ratio is preferred. It was on time and delivered in a beautiful vase. The ribbon is a nice touch but the bouquet and vase are so great, I'm not sure if it's necessary.

Either way, my wife and I loved what we received and would definitely buy again and recommend to others!

I paid extra for the "deluxe" version of the Christmas bouquet, "Peppermint Tea", but the arrangement delivered wasn't even as big as the one listed online for the normal version of the Peppermint Tea. My parents sent me a photo of the arrangement, and I was disappointed in the outcome. I won't pay more than the base price if I order from Laurelhurst in the future.

I called today to learn of an estimated time of arrival of my order. The associate informed me that the delivery wasn’t scheduled to go out until Friday (8/9) and that I had not paid for the flowers. I assured the associate the delivery was scheduled for today (8/7) and that I had paid in full upon placing the order. The associate investigated my claim and called back to inform me that she had made an error and that the flowers had already been delivered. I called my fiancée to ask how she liked her flowers— her response was, “What flowers?”

Panic-stricken, I called back to ask for more clarity. Another mistake was made. The flowers went “out for delivery,” they weren’t delivered as I was originally told by the associate. With that, the surprise was ruined.

When I arrived home, I asked to see the flowers. The arrangement was haphazard at best with little to no indication of arrangement, vision, or artistry. As an event planner, I’ve worked with my fair share of exceptional florists across the country, and this bouquet was certainly not worth the hefty $84 price tag.

The overall experience has convinced me to refrain from using Laurel Hurst for future flower orders.

Did not look any larger than the picture of the base arrangement. Feel a bit like I paid for an upgrade and was suckered. Buying sight unseen is not preferred. Wish the delivery was more timely and the order more breath taking considering what I paid. My business will not return.

Laurelhurst is 100% dedicated to customer satisfaction and created one of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. I was very impressed at how Amy went out of her way to make sure that I was satisfied with the order. The store sent a picture of the arrangement before it was created and it wasn't what I had expected. They changed it to be more inline with what I wanted and sent me another picture before sending it out for delivery. The more I think about it, the more astonished I am that they gave that much care and attention to an online order from someone across the country for a next day delivery. I will make sure to use them for every future Portland flower order and recommend them to other at every chance I get.

I really enjoyed the picture Laurelhurst sent me of the flowers delivered, though i was slightly dissapointed in their flower choice. I chose this arrangement because of the bold pops of color, though the flowers they delivered we more muted and pastel. I didn't think I needed to specify that I wanted bold colors in my arrangement because the picture showed that it came with them, though perhaps I should of added some notes in asking for those.
