Dorthy Bello
Hi, After many years of exploring cultures and the variety of beauty in the way the floral designs and industries worked, I felt there was a need to provide value and added additions to enhance the floral arrangements. My grandparents and mom did own a flower shop and doing business in Italy. They did emphasize hard work, innovation, and friendly service. As the owners, they also did not hesitate to personally deliver flowers to a client. Likewise, I decided to follow my family's tradition and experience in flowers. I want to give the customer the sense that we are not just going to fill a vase or bowl with inexpensive flowers, we are here to make the simplest arrangement creative, with an unusual twist, We are are here to touch your senses and for you to remember us when you need that special floral piece. We are looking forward to bring a new touch of beauty to the floral industry. My dream is to pass the shop to next generation and keeping this way the family legacy on making people happy and feeling special. We are lucky to have Craig Hepler here to direct and develop all our products and creative design and marketing. He has worked all over the world and has an amazing reputation in the floral arena. He has done hundreds of weddings and has taught many individuals the art of floral design He is the lead designer and is available for appointments regarding parties and weddings. All I received was a message with a stock photo of my order. No picture or evidence that it was indeed delivered. I found out after the fact that the recipient was out of town. They have not said if they received it or not. A photo of the delivery or name of the person you left it with would have been appreciated.

Order was made May 12. By 4:30PM on May 13th, no deliver and no phone call recd per my daughter. They were heading out to eat. We hung up and I am literally yelling at your staff. They said they left them at the front door a minute ago!!! Why would you leave $200 of goods at the front door!!! At a resident in a busy tourist area with 2 Air BnB across the street and high/college kids swarming the area as they are near the beach!!! Who would do that??? They only way they knew it arrived was when the house dog began barking that someone was at the door. They said no one rang the door bell. I am not happy and will never do busy with this florist again!!!!

I chose the Designer's Choice and was not disappointed - the arrangement was stunning. The delivery instructions were complicated because the birthday celebration was taking place in two different locations, but the driver made sure to get it correct and the delivery was on time. Very disappointed as I requested a morning delivery so my friend could enjoy the flowers for the whole day at work. She didn't receive the flowers until very late in the afternoon. I chose La Jolla Flowers because they were within easy walking distance of the recipient's office. The bill was $203.00 which included an $18.00 delivery fee. For $18 delivery fee, Allan's would have gotten the flowers delivered in the morning.

Learned that the owner is Italian and like her maternal grandmother who owned a florist in Italy the style of the arrangements were made to be elegant and as owner described also “ more organic, garden-oriented, like nature.” By the comments of who we gifted the arrangement to that style was definitely met. I live in Canada and unfortunately have a Canadian friend currently in the hospital in La Jolla, so - far from home and needing some cheering up. I decided to go for the Designer's Choice arrangement and let the staff choose the bouquet for me. I put in my order late afternoon and the flowers were delivered within a couple hours that day! What an incredible experience I have had with La Jolla Florist! I arranged for delivery of flowers for a friend who was in surgery, and I had them sent to the hospital for when she came out of surgery, but what I didn't know was that they could not receive flowers until she had a room assigned to her. Ardi called me to let me know, said he would hold the flowers and deliver the next morning at no cost. More importantly, he said he hoped my friend was doing well. In this time, to have someone show caring and kindness is so appreciated. La Jolla Florist will be my go-to florist for ever.
