When my wife received her Valentine's Day roses, I was a bit embarrassed to find the card was blank and only had my name on the inside. Some error was made when the order was placed and I was confused.

I had initially left a not so great review, but the passionate owner of Greenpoint Floral Co reached out and was committed to making me a happy customer.

After a few emails back and forth, it became clear that I was likely the one at fault here and perhaps I had spoken to another florist by mistake before choosing Greenpoint Floral Co. for my Valentine's day delivery.

Today, Nick and Christina went out of their way to bring a smile on my Wife's face and surprised her with another bouquet. Inside was a handwritten card with the original Valentine's message I had intended for the first order.

This was a remarkable and unexpected gift to receive today. It is rare to find a business owner with such passion not only for the beauty of their craft, but for going out of their way to bring smiles to the faces of those who felt a little less satisfied.

Although the flowers were pretty it definitely was not the colors pictured on site that I purchased. Very disappointing that florists take your money but do not send what you actually ordered. I stopped using 800 flowers for this reason I thought Greenpoint florist would be different.

I truly thank you for your order but feel some of the feedback is unfair. I would not be in business for over 40 years if " I took someone's money and not delivered to the best I could . My wish for you is that you find a florist in the future that you will be able to give a 5 star review to and not just state " the flowers were pretty BUT not really "

Many florists were closed on Saturday, but finally found Greenpoint Floral which was open. Ordered online and the process was so easy. The flowers were delivered as promised and the picture my daughter sent of them was as close to exactly the arrangement I chose as possible. Stunning. Very disappointed. The recipient sent me a picture and, except for the fact that it contained white roses, it didn’t bear much resemblance to what I selected from the web site. I chose the arrangement because I liked the contrast of the while roses and the dark accent color. None of that was in the actual gift. I understand the disclaimers attached with some variability, but I paid for the top level upgrade to make sure that the gift was something special. It was only mediocre.

The disclaimers are in place for just this purpose , not as an excuse , but to inform you that substitutions are required at times because of availability, in your case the arrangement you picked was of white roses & pinkish/lavender wax flower as the filler . The wax flower was unavailable so we substituted the monte casino filler and added some extra green foliage along with the additional white roses that you wished in your upgrade request , unfortunately there are not other fillers in the pinkish/lav. color range . again my apologies ... that being said I sent over this morning a smaller version with an emphasis on contrast , still without the wax flower, but with some lavender alstromeria being that I know you wanted that look . the recipient now has 2 vases that she can enjoy on her birthday . I hope that this lessens your disappointment.....

The flowers were fine, but the delivery was a little messy. I put instructions that I was delivering to a business and even named the business. Those instructions were not followed and left in the hallway of a random apartment building. I missed the call from the delivery people (my fault), but still...instructions were not followed/information was not read. I called the delivery people and they seemed confused. I had to call the business and get an employee to go retrieve the flowers.

Hi,

I’m not that pleased with the arrangement. The picture depicts an array of Spring colored flowers with a lilac ribbon. The one received is full of Fall colored yellow and orange flowers with a yellow ribbon. I wouldn’t have selected that arrangement for a funeral during Lent. I also paid for premium flowers and it appears that all we received was extra greenery rather than more and higher quality flowers. I’m awarding three stars only because the arrangement arrived timely.

I do remember the arrangement because I felt so bad at the time, we did over compensate for the few peach flowers in the arrangement and mistakenly put more orange and yellow & did not follow the color scheme , the matter of extra flowers for the premium price point I would slightly disagree with because we did put more roses ( but again not the right color which in the overall picture is no excuse ( I do thank you for the mentioning of the promptness ...... I hope that I can somehow do right by you in the future

I was pleasantly surprised that you were able to deliver the flowers directly into my wife’s hotel room. The flowers she received looked nothing like what I ordered, but she was pleased with my gesture nevertheless. At least there was yellow flowers in it, including two sunflowers, which are not in this photo...

I have a rare situation where my wife’s birthday coincides with Valentine’s Day. This is problematic in that delivery can be very difficult. Not that it won’t happen, but if your flowers show up at 5pm for Valentine’s Day, not a big deal. But a birthday, it’s a different thing. Anyway, contacted Greenpoint Floral requesting something special for my wife’s 35th birthday and they said it would be no problem. The day of my wife’s birthday, the flowers showed up before 10am, which was perfect. And they looked amazing. Would highly recommend.

I'm so very grateful for your help. My daughter lives in Brooklyn and I am in Maryland. I wanted to support local businesses and that's how I found Greenpoint Floral. I made the order on line and realized I forgot to include her apartment number so I emailed with that info. I got a response right away assuring me that they not only got the info but would make sure that the delivery was made on her birthday as I had requested. All communication was by email but I could feel a closeness to the staff and as sense that they really cared about this gift I was sending to my daughter. I sensed that they felt the love that was intended and took that love and passed it on. I am so very grateful.

The recipient sent me a photo of the arrangement she received, why I would have preferred the Gerber daisy's (pink) and the roses in the orange color(you did indicated that you would try to get as close as possible to the picture on your site (as close as possible). It was a nice arrangement but not what is pictured. It okay only.

I ordered the premium blooms and the arrangement was full of carnations and disappointing looking purple filler flowers. For $128 I expected so much more and no ugly filler. I was embarrassed when my cousin sent me the picture of her flowers.

Florist was very good about delivery, having to reschedule delivery. The flowers were the same colors as in the picture, but quite a different group of flowers. The picture of the flowers that you sent was taken on Mother's Day, and they looked past fresh, and that they would fall apart in the near future. They included tulips and other selections. I did not see purple carnations. I live in a different state and received flowers on Saturday from a local florists...the arrangement is still fresh and amazing.

good day Janet ..... thank you for your review and your kind words about how i rescheduled the delivery .... and in our defense the message about substituting flowers has been and still is on our website ( since we re-opened for 3 weeks now )... the colors and overall look of the arrangement was as you ordered and subbing tulips for carnations was actually making a higher priced arrangement .....as to the freshness ...I would have been more than happy to replace if I was made aware of it promptly

After our phone conversation yesterday I was under the impression that I had satisfied your concerns with my explanation of why it I took the liberty to make the arrangement larger than the pic because the recipient is a customer herself and have made other arrangements for her in the past .... The bouquet was delivered successfully. It was very pretty, similar to the picture provided but fuller. I also asked to add a balloon to go with it and the shop added a balloon nicer than I expected which I’m very grateful for. Overall I’m very satisfied with the service and the bouquet+balloon made my friend, who was the recipient, very happy

I usually don't write reviews but the bouquet delivered had absolutely no resemblance or quality to the actual delivered product. (dried flowers and shrubbery) Quite disappointing as I usually do order from your shop.

I am satisfied with the quality of the flowers and the delivery speed. The price is okay, I can't say either cheap or expensive. My only concern was the delivery person didn't deliver the flowers to my wife instead, he left them on her table. He might have waited a couple minutes to deliver the flowers directly to her, that would be more professional.

I did not see the arrangement that was sent to my daughter, but she was thrilled with it. She had a terrible experience that day moving into her new apartment-torrential rain, sofa had to be left in old apartment as movers couldn't get it out, mattress box springs not fitting through the door of new digs, no hot water + a parking ticket! Your flowers were delivered quickly on that day, which made me happy as I was so worried about her & she was understandably at her wit's end. Many thanks for "saving the day!" Blair

I ordered the flowers with the impression the colors would be the same. My mother-n-law's favorite color is blue and ordered this particular arrangement partially because of the blue vase. Well, the vase wasn't blue as pictured. The flowers were still very beautiful, but I as well as my husband were pretty disappointed about the color of the vase. My husband said we won't order from there again, but I may give them another try. Its still up in the air for me. (And I do all the ordering btw, lol)
