Flowers By Wendy Carol
I began my business in November of 2015. That decision came after I decide not to purchase the flower shop I currently was managing. I worked there for over 14 years and worked with all the wedding couples there as well. Planning there florals was the best art of my job! When I first started my business, I wanted to focus on special events so I could work with clients on a more personal one to one basis. I started out with one wedding in 2015 and by mid 2016, I was already working with over 25 couples and their weddings. By 2017, I had more than 75 weddings scheduled for the following year. I was able to bring on several part time assistants . My family has played a huge part in our success. My husband, father-in-law, and daughter have helped with many weddings and events over the last few years. Recently, we decided to expand into more full service work, after clients have reached out with special request. I want to provide the best possible service to each and everyone of my customers. We hope to build a florist that would leave a legacy.

Wendy Vaught
Even though I was born in northern Virginia, at age 5 my family moved to the suburbs of Baltimore Maryland. My Mom and Dad decided that they wanted more property to house horses and other farm animals. We moved to Carroll County in 1986 and I've resided here ever since. My mother loved gardening and I would help her with flower beds. I loved planning colors and styles with her. I would help her pick flowers and watch her place them in vases on the dining room table for us to enjoy! She would later join me at the flower shop as a designer during holidays, when we would get extremely busy. My love for floral design started in high school when my first job was at a garden center that also specialized in weddings. After gaining several years of experience, I moved onto a local florist. Growing with experience and passion, I then went on to fully manage two other full-service florists. While managing the retail side, I also personally handled weddings from meeting with the brides, designing the wedding flowers, to delivery and set up of ceremonies & receptions. I also worked with local companies, colleges, & hospitals for all their yearly events. Twenty-five years later, I found myself longing for just the “one on one” relationship with specialty event planning. Today, I am owner/operator of Flowers By Wendy Carol, offering my personal service and expertise from your initial consultation to the moment of your occasion. My true passion still drives me to bring that personal touch of elegance and beauty to your special day. My love for flowers has been with me ever since I was a little girl. I'm a mother of two amazing children and a stepmother of two other children, equally amazing. Just recently, I have become a grandparent, known as "Nana." Next to flowers, He has to be my greatest LOVE. Family is so important to me!

Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (410) 615-4310, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?
We’d be happy to take care of that for you! Please contact us at (410) 615-4310 and we’ll cancel your subscription right away.

My elderly mother, who is 85, broke her hip October 27th. After being hospitalized she is now in a nursing Rehabilitation Center. Reached out to Wendy to see if her shop could do a St. Patrick’s Day themed birthday bouquet and she said definitely. The bouquet turned out more incredible than I could’ve have imagined! It was so beautiful and so creative with flowers in the colors of the flag of Ireland—orange, white, and green. And they even worked in some Bells of Ireland, so fantastic! Tons of compliments and the commentary from friends and family is the bouquet must have cost over $100. Nope! Didn’t spend near that much, but the bouquet looks expensive. Wendy took her time to call and let me know the color would change a little and she would put on 16 candles. They were delivered as my granddaughter was getting off the school bus a real plus and she called to let me know how beautiful the cake flower was. The Flowers were BEYOND expectation and so beautiful. Living in CA and ordering for Mother’s Day is always an adventure in not knowing what you are sending to loved ones. I will definitely come back! The only suggestion would be for Mother’s Day next year to consider orders from out-of-state for delivery as “in-person store pick up” can’t happen.

I live in NC and had to order a funeral piece for a service in Westminster. I had read the reviews for her business and called her. I am always hesitate to order from a place I do not know or have not seen their work in person but I was extremely pleased with the arrangement. I live in Delaware and wanted to send flowers to my daughter after she had surgery. She lives in Westminster, Md. I wanted to shop local so I googled florists in Westminster. Wendy Carol was not the first listing but after viewing her site I knew I had to call her.
