I started in this business on Nov 1st, 1994 and have seen many changes. FLOWERS BY US is an actual brick-and-mortar shop in Columbia, WE ARE THE FLOWER SHOP THAT FILLS YOUR ORDER when you order from the internet florist that claims they service Columbia. They advertise as local and can deliver anywhere. They take your $70.00 order and phone me to deliver a $50.00 order for you and pretend they did it. This is why your $70.00 order looks small. I was born and grew up in Columbia. With an accounting education, I started as a bookkeeper, taking phone orders, and waiting on customers. After 2 years, I started this shop first as a partnership. As I attended classes and traveled for seminars, I became more confident as a designer. I was prepared to take over as a sole proprietor. I've now been know as FLOWERS BY US for over 30 years. This is a "Good Feeling" job--more smiles than stress. You have a chance to make your Customer's order their best celebration whether it is a birth, thank you, birthday, "I love you", wedding, or an anniversary. You get a chance to help them through some tough times when they come in for a get well, sympathy, or a funeral service order. Today's challenges are less local growers forcing you to depend on overseas deliveries. You have to deal with tariffs and limited availability of many flowers. Still, flowers are my business. I really don't want to do anything else. FLOWERS BY US is here to make anyday a better day.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
