This was my first time using Fleurs de Moufette, and it was AMAZING! FDM did a wonderful job getting the Brigitte bouquet, an absolutely spectacular arrangement, to our friend who is currently having a rough go. I placed the order late in the afternoon on a Friday, and the flowers were delivered in the early afternoon the following day (Saturday). They were even kind enough to send me an email just prior to delivery which included a photo of the final arrangement (not many florists go to such lengths, IME). Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised by the handwriting on the attached note, which conveyed our personal sentiments to our friend. I could tell the person who wrote it took their time and didn’t just scribble away, all in all, it was very well done. Previously, when i’ve had flowers delivered to friends/family/etc, the handwriting has occasionally been sloppy and ultimately contributes to an overall presentation that is less than ideal. This is my second or third time using FDM, and it certainly won’t be the last. Thank you to everyone there.

Ordered the designer choice bouquet to be delivered to my friend. They turned out Absolutely beautiful! Accidentally sent it to my friends’ old address 25 minutes away from her current location. The arrangement is beautiful and one of many I’ve ordered over the past few years. I would have given it five stars, but the hydrangeas shown on the website were periwinkle blue, and these weee not, which changed the entire look. The blue and orange combination is why I ordered this particular arrangement. I understand substitutions may be needed, but I think when the color is changed that dramatically it would have been appropriate to contact the customer to discuss options. Moufette has a well-deserved reputation. Flowers are expensive, ad I was looking for a local bouquet to send a friend - I wanted it to be special. I looked at several sites, looked at Moufette's as well, and spotted "Designer's Choice". I took a change on it for two reasons: 1/ Flowers used are those fresh flowers not used in other bouquets and arrangements - I reasoned there would be a wide diversity for a palette. 2. I reasoned also that the challenge of designer to show an original, interesting and beautiful piece would be important to them as an artist. I reasoned correctly, apparently, on all counts: the bouquet was beautiful and had some more exotic choices in it. In one store this would have cost at least twice the amount I paid, IF they had the talent to design something like this - various gorgeous flowers, interesting design. Best of all, the bouquet hit it mark with the recipient, who was overcome by the exquisite beauty. Delivery was sooo reasonable as well. Also, Moufette's transparency meant a lot to me - I have made more than usual flower orders recently, and have been misled and even defrauded and had extra charges. I appreciate their service even more now! Thank you, Moufette.

I was disappointed. Intending something lovely delivered to my fiance, I called the shop and spoke to a florist in some detail. Indicating some arrangements on the website for reference, I asked for a ‘Romantic…elegant, low, lush, English garden inspired, ‘not seasonal Thanksgiving or Halloween’, ‘not something you’d send your Mom’; ‘no sticks, leaves, pinecones, and such’; in a nice vase (for extra $, of course) with a couple dozen roses; somewhere around $250. What was delivered was truly ugly. It had leaves, twigs, some evergreen; mostly orange, pink, and brown; oddly, each type of flower was bunched in together. The proportions were bad, it was tall and scraggly. The flowers were old; losing petals immediately; and badly trimmed (lots of deadish brown petals on the roses). When I called the florist and told him of my concerns, he offered to refund my money and pick up the flowers from my house. But, of course, my fiance had already received them- and that would be quite awkward. She remarked, ‘Thank you… I’m not sure if these were meant for me or someone in your family’. She also thought it was ugly. The arrangement came in a blah, round, clear vase with no redeeming features; not sure if I paid extra for it. Really bad.

The arrangement was different than what was pictured and was too expensive ($93 with taxes etc) for 8 roses and some sparse flowers. Since peonies are out of season he worked with me and suggested dahlias and ranunculus as they open up big and full too for a similar impact. Having worked in a high end flower shop years ago, I am very picky about the flowers I send with my name on them! I came across Fleurs de Moufette online as I am not familiar with Raleigh flower shops, and I loved their designs. I was hoping that the arrangement I ordered looked as good as the examples online.
