Arrangement was very well put together. Really kind staff - great customer service. Only two small bummers - the arrangement was supposed to include two coordinating roses and didn’t and the bag I ordered to go along as gift showed available online but was actually out of stock. I always like Eureka Florist and what they deliver. This arrangement was my first disappointment. The striped vase and polka dotted bow along with uninteresting small flowers made for an less than stellar arrangement. I'm also not a fan of pine cones in my arrangements, but I guess that's just personal taste.

I lived in Eureka most of my life and used Eureka Florist. Recently, I wanted to send some flowers to a friend so contacted Eureka Florist. They sent a perfect arrangement exactly as we had discussed. Again yesterday, I called for another arrangement to the same person. This time I asked for certain colors but left the design up to the designer. It was so perfect!! I really liked the ease of ordering and love the picture they sent showing the arrangement that was sent. I will always order from this florist.

Thank you for your review; we're sorry there was confusion about your order. As we stated when you ordered, we do not carry daffodils. Therefore we went through the options for a tulip arrangement. We asked if you wanted just tulips or to put tulips in a mixed arrangement and since you chose a mixed bouquet we also asked what color palette you preferred. So we sent a pastel arrangement with tulips as requested. We chose to add iris and lisianthus to try to evoke the feel of the daffodil. We do our best to set up expectations during our consultations and though we felt we were on the same page with you, we are very sorry if any of this wasn't clear.

After speaking and getting a different picture from the person who received the flowers - the picture is the reason they received 2 stars. Yet, after receiving a picture from the recipient - it is obvious that the lighting was poor. From the picture, one can't even tell that there are birds in the floral arrangement or how much color is in the greenery.
At the end of the day - the response of Eureka's Florist is correct, as the person who received them loved the flowers, and that's what matters at the end of the day.

Pros: Convenient website, sending a picture of the floral arrangement after delivery, and personable staff when I called to check the status on the phone.
Cons: Viewers of this review will not be able to see the picture, but what was sent out looks nothing like the representation on their website that was selected.
The arrangement looks washed out, muted, and dull. It is lacking any pop or any color. The filler greenery looks wilted and already dying. The roses are slightly pink, but lacking in color - almost an off-color white.
I paid a pretty penny($100+) for this arrangement and honestly would have preferred some type of communication from them. To simply say, 'We can't do what you want in the picture, do you still want it?" It isn't like they didn't have me on the phone, on the morning of delivery.
The wider vase unfortunately gave it a bloated look compared to the original picture and having to pad the vase with this unflattering greenery. Yet different greenery, bow, and even the roses selected don't have the colorful pop as the original picture. To be frank, I could overlook everything being different, as no two arrangements will ever be the same, even without Eureka's substitution policy in place; yet there is nothing vibrant and eye-catching about this bouquet.
Based on others' pictures of their floral arrangement, Eureka Florist has the potential to knock it out of the park, yet they missed the mark with this one.

Thank you for your very detailed review. We also wish you (or us) could attach the photo of the arrangement to your review. (Although we did take terrible pictures that day) We shared your disappointment when we ordered bright pink roses and instead received very pale pink. The customers that ordered over the phone received that warning, but we have struggled to convey the nuances of weekly flower ordering on our website. Thank you for showcasing the need to attach more messaging on our website. As a very small business, it is not difficult to find ourselves short staffed. With your order, our priority was to meet your time requirement. We always do our best to fulfill all special requests, and we thought by upgrading your greens we could fulfill your expectations of a pink rose arrangement with pink bow. We also did not attempt to call you ourselves due to the overseas address. Unfortunately, by the time you called, we were so focused on getting the arrangement out as soon as possible that we did not think to mention that the roses were lighter than usual. As stated, we upgraded the greenery and filler to try to give that pop our arrangements are known for. Beyond the fern and seeded eucalyptus, we used a green unique to professional florists called agonis. It is a dark burgundy feather leaf and we love how it creates dimension and movement in the arrangement. For filler, we used a lavender waxflower to again add more color and pop to the arrangement. We also added 3 pink birds. Although we are sorry it didn’t meet your expectations, the response to the arrangement at delivery was incredibly positive. We hope the recipient enjoyed the flowers as much as that initial response indicated, and that your reason for sending them was fulfilled.

Maybe I’m being picky, as the arrangement IS pretty, BUT - I specifically requested a lot of purple shades in the bouquet as that is a favorite of the recipient. What I see in the photo of what was delivered is mainly pinks/ reds with a touch of purple. I was disappointed it wasn’t the way I envisioned it would be. If the photo had been sent before delivery I would have had it changed.

Debra, thank you for your review. We often forget that florist purple is not always perceived as purple to everyone. Every flower used in your arrangement was the existing purple of that type of flower. Purple mums and carnations lean more to burgundy (especially in pictures). The gypsy dianthus and roses lean more to the pink. We did try to explain we did not have the same purple flowers from the picture when you ordered. We did our best to include all the purples as requested. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations.

I went in with a very vague description of what I wanted for the centerpieces for a dinner. I said white, with green.. low not tall.. I was told if I had pictures of anything I wanted or knew of specific types of flowers to let them know. I had nothing.. I asked them to use their expertise. Best choice ever. I NEVER leave reviews but feel like Eureka Florist deserves one! I purchased the House of Mod bouquet and 2 stuffed animals for a friend and her daughter’s. The bouquet was beyond amazing. It was fully filled with a lush mix of beautifully selected flowers and the stuffed animals were definitely larger than expected which really made me feel like I got what I paid for. They delivered the flowers quickly with no issues. The best part was that they sent me a “BloomSnap” (love that name, btw!) showing me exactly what I ordered!!! From the very beginning of my phone order I was treated very professionally. They had no problem with me letting them know certain flowers that I liked and types of flowers I didn't care for. I asked for them to be creative in making a presentation bouquet for my granddaughter who was performing in the Nutcracker in Eureka. The went above and beyond my expectations. My daughter called me to let me know what a beautiful job they had done. Unlike another florist in Eureka who told me they had a $65 minimum on orders. No where on their website did it state that. When I owned my Florist business I worked with any amount that a client wanted to spend. I highly recommend the Eureka Florist for you flower needs in their area. When you suffer the loss of a loved one, you are not always in a state of mind to deal with all the details that follow. From the onset of my contact with Eureka Florist, I was treated so compassionately. I was seeking a unique arrangement for my husband and was having trouble finding someone who could accommodate my desire and work with me on pricing I could afford. Gwen is amazing!!!! She did not have her price set in stone. She offered compromise, and ideals for savings and still I was delivered a unique "WORK OF ART"! The 3-dimentional guitar piece she created for my husband was amazing and personal. Even though she new I didn't have a great deal of money to spend, she still contacted me after completion of her piece inquiring if she could add a personal touch to the guitar strap to include his name at no additional charge. That is because that is what kind of service they offer their customers, even at the darkest of times. You wouldn't think a floral arrangement would contribute so much at a service, but that would be wrong. It offered me much closure knowing he had the best of everything even though money was tight as it often is when you have an unexpected loss. Eureka Florist was communicative with me throughout the process. They constantly checked in with me via email to update me on status of the piece's creation and delivery. They were considerate in my having an approximate date of delivery as well when I needed to move my date. Gwen and Finn of Eureka Florist have all my floral business from here on out and I will tell everyone of the fine, professional, and creative work they do at Eureka Florist. WOW! What customer service! I totally forgot to order flowers for my Mother for Christmas. I called on the 22nd from Idaho and the first thing they said was "if my order was for after Christmas". As the panic came over me, I said no. They were booked! I said I'd take anything Christmassy they could come up with. There was a pause and voice came back with "Ok I might have one more spot for Christmas Eve" I'll take it! My 88 year old Mom called and thanked me and said how beautiful the flowers were and she couldn't get over how nice the delivery man was and how accommodating he was, helping her find a place for them, as she couldn't hold them or move them around herself. My experience with Eureka Florist on both the ordering and receiving side has been amazing. I ordered a bouquet of flowers for a friend that was having surgery, but I had gotten the delivery date wrong. They were so nice when I called and told them this, they were happy to hold onto the bouquet and keep it in the cooler so it was still nice and fresh for delivery the next day. I was in the hospital at the same time, My husband and best friend reached out to eureka florist last minuet to order flowers for me. Not only did the florist take their very last min order and get it delivered that same day after closing, She also built the most beautiful, and biggest bouquet I've ever seen. It stopped people in their tracks when they saw it, everyone was blown away by its beauty, size and all the different types of flowers in it, which where all organic and from California. A friend of ours was in St Joseph's hospital in Eureka alone. We called Eureka Florist and she indicated they were closed for a wedding then she added that she "..would make an exception and after their wedding job would deliver the flowers.."

The bouquet was thin and made with cheap filler flowers and not special at all. They used an unremarkable vase and the arrangement looked like a messy arrangement of random things that made no sense together. I paid over a hundred bucks for a $20 arrangement. Bummer.

We are sorry that our arrangement did not meet your expectations. We love making custom arrangements. The only instruction we received was no carnations. So we used our most popular, higher end, summer flowers locally and California sourced. They included 4 stems of white Oriental lilies, 4 sunflowers , 5 iris, 4 delphinium, 5 tulips, 3 alstromeria, solidago and a large stem of Hype spray roses with 7 large blooms (a new fragrant elite find from our rose grower). We like to put more money towards flowers and do not tend to use specialty vases unless requested. This arrangement was in a large rose vase and was not one-sided. The website is convenient and we love the ease of use for our customers. For special orders never hesitate to call us.

The roses delivered to my mother put a huge smile on her face, which was just what I wanted! Eureka Florist is the best! This is the second time I have ordered from them, and they make it so easy. And they don't charge these huge prices which some florists do, and that is very much appreciated!

My friends daughter was sad that she couldn’t celebrate her 11th birthday due to shelter in place orders. Her mom arranged a drive by parade, but I do not live in the area and couldn’t contribute in that way. Thank you for having the order ready for pick up yesterday. Two items of note: I didn't get the greeting card message I filled out online. No worries. I noticed the water in the vase looked a bit murky as if the flowers were in the refrigerator at your store for several days. Anyway, I will freshen it up today before display. Otherwise, the flowers are very colorful. Thank you!

We use a good portion of California and local greens and flowers that come from sources that grow their flowers differently than the large scale corporate flower growers. Your flowers were made 2 hours before you picked them up. The water sometimes gets sediment from the greens and farm flowers we use. Eureka Florist was the best florist I’ve EVER worked with. Their flowers were BEAUTIFUL and very affordable. Better than some flowers I got from a bigger and more expensive company. I called the day of Valentine’s Day which I’m sure they were super busy. They answered my questions so nicely. So kind. I don’t even know what to say. I’ll always buy flowers from here now.
