Ed Smith Flowers and Gifts is a professional local florist proudly serving Dayton, Ohio and surrounding areas since 1955. We offer custom floral arrangements of fresh flowers, silk flowers, and a variety of gifts such as windchimes, lanterns, afghans, garden stones, chocolates, stuffed animals, memorial plaques, music boxes, and religious statuary. We offer traditional and contemporary floral design styles that are appropriate for birthdays, anniversaries, get well, new baby, sympathy, holidays or just because. Our offerings are available for same-day delivery or next-day delivery. Conner and Steve are long time friends who left the corporate world to strike out on their own. Their floral education began under the tutelage of Brian Smith, son of the company founder Ed, who had owned and operated the shop for almost 50 years. Under Brian's guidance, their skills blossomed, proving their worth to carry on the Smith family legacy. Conner and Steve bring energy, passion, creativity, and vision to a floral industry which is often stuck in traditional modes of operation and thinking. Our subscriptions allow you to select a delivery frequency that best suits your needs - either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
How often will I be billed?
You will be billed 5 days before the delivery schedule you select (either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). This is to ensure your florist will have adequate time to prepare your order.
How do I make changes to my subscription plan?
You can call the florist any time before the scheduled delivery or pickup date to make changes to your subscription plan and orders.
Can I pause my subscription plan?
Yes, you can! contact us at (937) 222-9441, let us know the next best delivery date and we’ll pause your subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription plan?
We’d be happy to take care of that for you! Please contact us at (937) 222-9441 and we’ll cancel your subscription right away.

I'm always hesitant to overfill the balloons when it gets cold because they can explode when they get back in the warmer air inside. |I gave the representative all of my email confirmation information and initially he couldn’t find my order. After a few minutes, he was able to locate it. The representative did apologize to me and my wife. I was credited for half of my total back $169 of $338 and she received her flowers the next day.
This experience was terrible and if it wasn’t for the representative I would probably just got to another area florist.

I'm one of the owners and coincidentally the representative you spoke with Wednesday. As I explained Wednesday our website and point of sale system normally talk to each other flawlessly, but due to a glitch your order never made it to us. After I located your order and asked how I could make the situation right for you, you mentioned that you and your wife were headed to dinner, so delivering the arrangement Wednesday was impossible. I offered to refund you half of the order and deliver it early on Thursday which you indicated would be good. You then asked me to personally explain the situation to your wife and apologize to her which I did. I have since contacted our website provider about the glitch and they are looking into it. All I can do at this point is apologize again for the glitch that ruined your evening with your wife. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist.
Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received
cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone.
Florists that offer same-day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in
their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the
following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field
during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
