I ordered the Wake-a-wish floral arrangement for my best friend who had surgery last week. The first arrangement was pretty but wasn’t as full as the $150 price I paid nor did it look like the picture I ordered. Highly recommend by family members.
On May 3,2024. I placed an online custom order.. included lilies and four yellow roses. On May 9th the order was delivered and there was not a rose or a lily in sight. Needless to say my mother was very disappointed and so was I. I called Brian which is the owner of the establishment and asked him to make the correction. They made a correction but yet again no lilies but yellow flowers. I personally live in Texas unfortunately will no longer use your establishment.
I understand that it was a specificly busy holiday however the orders should have been right the very first time.

Recipient is a retired lady who lives in an RV in a local park, loves to travel light.
She has hearing loss, so was surprised to notice a light knocking on her door. She opened it to find a tiny litle lady standing there who politely asked if she was the person named on her card.
When the occupant answered in the affirmative, the delivery person said, "I'll be right back," went to her car and brought in this beautiful bouquet.

From the photos posted online, I was certain I could get what I wanted. I was SO pleased with the sanctuary flowers with lots of sunflowers with a little bird sitting on a curly willow branch & another sitting in a nest deeper in the arrangement. My sister and her family expressed great satisfaction with the floral table center piece that I sent them for Thanksgiving. She said "they smell so wonderful and are uniquely created. It was the centerpiece for their table set for 11 people.
I had some problems in the Internet order process with delivery to Corrales, but with Brian's help everything was straightened out with satisfaction. Brian even went the extra mile to assist in communicating with me in Florida and my sister's family in Corrales to get the flowers to them in a locked gate situation.
Not only does Brian provide exceptional service, but their arrangements are one of a kind.

My 93 yr old mother is thrilled with her Thanksgiving flowers. You can hear the "smile in her voice" all the way from Corrales New Mexico to Sarasota Florida via the phone.
Owner Brian went above and beyond the call of duty when I had tried to order the flowers via internet. It came back that there is no delivery to Corrales. (Which is not true) The order was still in the queue when I had started looking else where. I got a call from Brian asking me if I needed help for he could see the partial order stuck in the queue. Brian verified that Duke City Florals delivers to Corrales and he himself took the entire order for me over the phone for my mom. He also helped me with an order to my sister and family at the same address. Brian was very thorough and pleasant to work with. I ordered some flowers for my mother in laws birthday a couple weeks ahead of time. They called me a few days ahead of time and let me know that unfortunately the flowers had been delivered a few days early by accident. I live out of state and ordered flowers online for my mom's birthday. My experience with ordering flowers online has been hit and miss - often the picture shown online does not look like flowers received. However, the flowers from Duke City Floral were actually more beautiful (in my opinion) than the picture online! They chose a beautiful combination of flowers and colors, and my mom was absolutely delighted! They also delivered them early in the day so mom was able to enjoy her birthday flowers the whole day. I live in Toronto, ON, Canada and I ordered flowers from another florist in Albuquerque on Wed June 26, 2024. The next day I got an email from that florist stating they could not make any floral arrangements as they had NOT received their supplies. I was like WTH! I don't live in Albuquerque but wanted to send a plant to a memorial service at a community service. I called Duke City Floral. I appreciated that the clerk emailed me an invoice so that I could see exactly what was going to be ordered and charged. After I agreed, he charged my credit card. The plant was delivered to the community center a day ahead of the morning service, and the driver worked around the office staff's schedule to make sure that it was received and not left on a porch overnight. I needed to have flowers delivered same-day on Valentine's Day. It was the early afternoon, and every flower delivery service in Albuquerque had stopped taking same day delivery orders. I was worried I wouldn't get flowers delivered in time, but Duke City Floral was still taking orders and they came through magnificently! I wanted to surprise my daughter at work for her birthday with some flowers, I ask the owner to make sure my name didn’t show at all because I wanted to be a surprise. Well they decide to call my daughter to ask her if she was at work because she had some flowers delivered from me!!!

I’ll start this off by saying that customer service is 10/5. They were responsive, tried their best to work with me, and I know they really pulled all the stops to ensure my satisfaction, but ultimately I only agreed to the bouquet because I knew there was no more room for bargaining. Second, if you’re out of town and buying flowers as a gift that needs to be delivered, Duke City is probably the best in the city.
With all that said, I don’t know how $53 (delivery included) bought me 3 white roses and some filler flowers and still made a very scrawny and not very fresh bouquet. If you are in town I recommend going to whole foods where you can buy 5 peonies, 12 beautiful pink roses, beautiful filler leaves and flowers and more for $30 and arranging it yourself (it’s really not that hard). As a comparable, a year ago I bought a stunning custom bouquet through Etsy that only cost $15 and the $15 dollar out of state delivery charge was comparable to duke city’s in city fee. So all in all if you have to have your flowers delivered they are probably the best option (the Etsy store is on pause) but if you’re in abq I’d consider making your own bouquet

I initially placed an order for Mother’s Day with a large national florist. They did not deliver on the day requested and only offered to give me half off and deliver the next week. I was in a bind on Mother’s Day and I called Duke City. The owner answered and he was extremely helpful. He told me what he had available for delivery and had it at my moms house within two hours. I will ALWAYS use Duke City for my flowers in Albuquerque. By the way my mom was extremely impressed with the flowers. “These are the most beautiful flowers I have ever received “. I'm hesitant to give four stars as the meaning for three stars (could have been better) is more of a fit. We're just gonna have to get used to customer service probably being gone completely within the next decade. The flowers were beautiful and healthy. Everything was as asked for except the delivery. Their delivery price was $14 almost $15. The flower prices especially around Valentines day, were priced better than anyone else. However when I called, whoever answered just said hello, not even hello this is Duke City Florist. I had to ask to make sure I had dialed the right number. The guy could've been new, but it didn't really seem like he was paying attention to me. They did get the order right, but I asked three times for it to be delivered mid morning on Monday before my wife left. They were delivered at 2:30pm. When I sent an email asking that I should not have to pay for the delivery fee as it was late, I got one response asking if I wanted to cancel when the flowers were already here and that they had no record of me asking for a specific delivery time. I sent another email stating not to cancel the order, but that I asked the delivery to be mid morning three times and it was delivered far later and I should be comped the delivery fee. NO RESPONSE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We ordered online on a Sunday - for delivery today, 12/12/22, on a Monday. We didn't have the suite number, but we did have the office phone. Someone called today to get that suite number. Our niece said she spoke with him, and he was very sweet!

This is the second time I have ordered this bouquet for a memorial and from the pictures it looked nice, not quite as nice as the image online. It didn't have the pretty grassy looking bow tied around the top of the vase and seemed to be not as fully floral wise. I made sure I paid extra for a premium arrangement. I ordered in time to have it delivered the day of the order and they got it there within 2 hours, so that was really nice.

We ordered some fresh, fall flowers, for a friend’s funeral recently. I asked for some fall flowers and told them not not to add any roses. When we saw it at our friend’s funeral and mass, it was half dead with petals falling off, and this bouquet was very small. It also had roses in it. Some roses also looked almost dead and droopy.
We were very disappointed. It was $85, with delivery and tax, but it looked very pathetic. We have never used Duke City Florist before, and we never had these problems before either. We will not order from them again. It was very upsetting, to see our small, unattractive bouquet.

I love this florist!! I live in Colorado but have family in Albuquerque. I have been looking for a local florist for those special occasions, ie: birthdays and mothers day, for a few years.
Sadly I was in town for a funeral. I needed flowers and this florist was down the street. PERFECT! The moment my son and I walked in we were treated like valued customers. Everyone sympathized and we found an already prepared, beautiful arragement. That was our first visit. My second interaction was just as amazing! I had to call in an order for delivery, sadly for another death. Claudia was personable and you would have thought she knew who I was! I called a few minutes before they were closing and she spent probably 20 to 25 minutes with me on the phone getting to know me as a person, also sympathizing with sweet, encouraging words. All the while she acquired the information she needed to make the most beautiful arrangement for me to have delivered the next day. The arrangement that was sent was gorgeous and I couldn't be happier to have found Duke City Floral!
Prices are reasonable, delivery arrangements start at $64.95+ tax and delivery. Total cost $80. 100% worth the money!

I ordered Sweet Honey Cups online for my mother as a "Just Because". It was delivered on time. The flowers were yellow roses, brilliant orange gerbera daisies and orange tiger lilies with accents of yellow smaller flowers. It came in an orange saucer and cup which I actually like better than the cup/saucer pictured on their website! The flowers are fresh and fragrant. It is a very 'summery' arrangement and my mom was so delighted! During the peak of the pandemic, my (now) wife and I bravely (or crazily) decided to finally get married, after being engaged for 5 years. We also decided to get married about 5 business days later (crazy?). I called Brian and asked him to make me a very specific flower lei/garland, an Indian wedding garland (from India). He had never heard of them but googled a few pictures and let me send him an email with photos of examples of what I wanted. He spent the next 4 business days communicating with me daily and directly. He made us the EXACT flower lei we wanted!!! It was absolutely PERFECT!!! In fact, after attending probably 100 Indian weddings in the last 20+ years, the lei made by Brian and his team was the best one I’ve ever seen (and yes, that includes Indian weddings in big cities like Chicago and LA, as well as weddings in India). The flowers were beautiful and fresh. Not only that, but we were driving to Albuquerque after work the night before our planned 6 am hot air balloon ceremony. We were cutting it close and I was worried we wouldn’t make it in time before the shop closed at 5:30. Brian assured me he would wait for me at the shop, and he kept that promise. His price was fair. Brian and his flower shop are absolutely a part of the Albuquerque community, and they will treat you like family. I am thoroughly impressed. Thank you, Brian, for helping make our wedding perfect!
