The ordering experience was easy. I ordered the day before delivery and the flowers were delivered on time and looked just like the photo (my friend sent me a photo). She also said the vase was heavy and nice quality. Ordering flowers from afar can be risky, but I was very happy with this experience!

As I've come to expect, the arrangement was beautiful (as confirmed by a picture from the recipient), and my friend was thrilled, especially with the unique and whimsical details. I was disappointed when I picked up the small bouquet. It was supposed to be predominantly white with just a few small subtle dusty lavender pieces. I was promised nothing strong purple and was showed the type of lavender florals that would be included . It was supposed to be subtle. The bouquet I picked up had roughly 1/3 purple flowers and they were not subtle. The bouquet was white and purple not white with a few lavender accents. Not what I asked for. The matching boutonnière similarly had a purple rose on it which was not supposed to be there. It was supposed to be a white rose with just a small lavender accent like she showed me.

Well, I’m normally at sea “merchant seaman” so I surprised her with an office delivery. And since I was actually home this year. I didn’t mentioned anything.
But I didn’t forget. She was took by complete surprise when the delivery arrived at her work. She said she was surprised that a dozen roses showed up “out of nowhere”.
Must have be one of those dates where they “don’t care about”. i.e, Valentine’s Day their birthday. Even after 19yrs married, have to stay on your toes. The little things, matter.

When my wife and I visited Del Mar Floral we already had a vision of what we wanted for my brother’s funeral wreath: heart-shaped; external rim of white and cream colored roses; plethora of multicolored flowers in the middle; a laminated photo of my brother and his wife; a banner at the bottom with our writing.
The ladies at this floral shop performed exactly what we wanted. Everyone commented what a superb wreath they produced.
They delivered and set up the flowers exactly where we wanted at the church.
We are indebted and highly appreciative.

I called ahead of time because it was the week preceding Mother's Day to check what was still available, and the person who answered the phone was knowledgeable and informative. The flower arrangement was even better than the photo and the recipient was very happy. The quality alone is worth 5 stars. What sets Del Mar Floral apart from other florists is the customer service. Carolina is the owner and I spoke with her a few times to resolve a delivery issue. She is so kind and made everything right. I couldn’t have asked for a better response from a business owner. I highly recommend them and will have to get more arrangements since the first one was such a hit.

Plants delivered in a pot without a drainage hole that would allow them to be watered. Not good for living plants.

Thank you so much for your feedback, we use containers without drainage holes in order to protect our customers home furnishings from potential water damage.
Succulents grown in containers without drainage holes can absolutely thrive, watering sparingly to avoid excess water accumulating in container to avoid root rot.
We do have a container option with a drainage hole, if you would like us to repot your gift for you. Please advise us, we love for our customers and/or gift recipients to be completely satisfied.

Very happy AGAIN!
My sister is a wonderful lady, BUT she is very picky and painfully honest. If she is not satisfied OR thinks you did not get your money's worth, she will not hesitate to speak up!
That is why I am very grateful to Del Mar Florists! They consistently (over 6 years) provide excellent flower arrangements and service. I periodically send my only sister flowers and she has never been disappointed. That is quite a feat. And that is not the case with OTHER area florists that her kids have used.
I will only use Del Mar Florists for North County deliveries and only wish I could find a florist like them in my home area so my wife could benefit.

It was terrible. I was expecting to get almost the same as on the picture above. It doesn't look appealing or well prepared when I got it. I even came there to tell them if they can add some more flowers because it doesn't look really good. I was very disappointed at first. But, it is a special day so I am just gonna let it go. But, all in all I was very upset. I pre ordered that 3weeks ahead. It should look great. The flowers that I got were pretty small unlike the roses in the pictures that were pretty visible.

Arrangement I ordered did not look at all what I ordered. Sloppy filler leaves on outside. Flower colors of main blue flowers were replaced with others I assume were in season, but were rather lacking in color. The arrangement of was pretty, nice colors. However, when my friend sent me a picture of the arrangement she received for her birthday I was disappointed because the flowers used were already at their prime for blooming. The lilies were already open not giving the arrangement any longevity. It looked like a 3 day old arrangement. Not worth $75.

Del Mar Floral did an excellent job of creating and delivering a fresh and beautiful bouquet to my relative. I placed my order online in the evening and the following morning called to see if the bouquet could be delivered early instead of in the afternoon. I will no longer use this florist. Second poor experience in a row.

This time, flowers were delivered and not one flower was blooming. Two days later one flower is fully blooming. Why would a florist send a bouquet of flowers without blooms? The whole point is to receive beautiful flowers.

Last time, (March 2019) the arrangement was delivered with multiple broken stems. Obviously the arrangement had been knocked over or damaged during delivery. Yet they still tried to deliver them! Had to call and complain to get it replaced, ruined the whole experience for my wife. No offer to refund delivery charge or discount on the next order.

Two $100 orders and the above is what we received. Use them at your own risk. Something has changed and it’s for the worst.

I really do appreciate you delivering the flowers on time, since there was a tight window, so thank you for that. As for the bouquet, I was disappointed that after two days, two of the six roses started dying, and by Day 4, four of the six roses were dead. It's always difficult choosing an establishment in an area with which I am unfamiliar. Last year, I did the google and yelp searches, and decided on Del Mar Floral based on ratings and proximity. The experience was positive, so I repeated it this year.
It started with a telephone call to the shop - the person who assisted me was extremely friendly and helpful. I placed the order online, specifying the delivery date and arrangement desired. They turned out BEAUTIFULLY, and the recipient was extremely pleased and grateful. The only slight snafu was the card didn't have my name, so she didn't know who sent it - BUT THAT WAS MY OWN FAULT!! (I made the same mistake last year!) All-in-all, another fantastic experience dealing with Del Mar Floral. Thank you!!

I live in Portland, OR and ordered this for my friend who lives in San Diego to celebrate International Friendship Day! (This was a surprise). The experience of ordering online was fantastic! I forgot the delivery persons' name but he was awesome! Per my request, he called me an hour before delivery and I was able to text him to provide updates whether my friend was home.

My friend loved the flowers and sent me photos of it. Although the arrangement wasn't exactly like the image, it was close. The only negative point of the arrangement was the bamboo was yellow (from the photos my friend took).

Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would order from them again. If I was able to give a tip post delivery, I would for the delivery.

I'm very sorry to say, but was quite disappointed with what we paid and what we actually received. I had purposely ordered the deluxe version of the Bejeweled Beauty for my co-worker who had a loss in her family. The arrangement was nice, but it was very small. When I called, I was just told the recipe for the arrangement was followed and basically, it is what it is. Also, when the man came to deliver (to the person who just had a loss in her family), he hovered around until she pulled out a tip ... very unprofessional. The cost of the arrangement, plus the delivery fee more than covered that tip ... it was not appropriate. I'm very sorry, but I cannot give you high marks at this time. Thank you!

The ordering was easy. I requested a picture of the final product and Del mar Floral did send one. As with most floral arrangements ordered online, the price is about double the listed price, with tax and a $15 delivery charge. I understand that the final product varies from the bouquet advertised, but I'm often dismayed by the final work. I believe Del Mar Floral made a great effort, but the planting was not as colorful as the picture online. The tip of one of the plants in the terrarium even had a dead spot on it. Again, I believe Del Mar did the best they could, but I wish I could attach a photo for you to see the difference between the picture online and the actual planting we got. In spite of my disappointment, I will use Del Mar Floral again.
