Buddies Flowers

Buddies Flowers came into being in 1997. It's the creation of two silly escapees from a Portland flower shop, neither of whom is named Buddy...but they were and still are buddies. We are (Tammy and Annakim) two picky human beings that pride themselves on using ONLY freshest of flowers. We promise to never "use things up" in any arrangement we send out...ever! Only the freshest for our customers. We've done it all... with the exception of a parade float (we're still hoping...). Additionally we carry a large selection of orchids, houseplants, garden plants, gifts and greeting cards. This arrangement is gorgeous! The recipient was overwhelmed by the gesture and so touched; she just loves the beautiful greenery, roses, and candle combination. The gal at the shop even called 2 days prior, asking permission to delivery a day early because icy weather was coming on my delivery date!! Our long time neighbor and friend passed away the day before we were going out of town. We were not able to visit his widow before leaving for our trip so I wanted to send a very special arrangement. The roses had brown petals on them, there were different types of white roses which should not have occurred and the bouquet only lasted 5 days. As the delivery person was delivering, the recipient was there and the delivery person started taking off some of the brown petals because it was being delivered with the recipient present. Very disappointed with this bouquet.

I know this order, as I delivered it myself and was the one pulling off the guard petals as I was delivering...I'm always preening the flowers. I also realize that it looked as if it was 2 different types of roses as I commented on it as I handed it to the recipient...but I assure it was all from the same batch of roses. Roses that I had bought that morning at the market. It was a rose (playa Blanca) with a high petal count that opens quickly but holds.

I ordered this bouquet in a bag for Mother's Day. I thought the concept was very unique and since l wanted something both different and local it fit the bill perfectly. I have not seen it in person because I live in Texas, but the pictures my mom sent show a beautiful, vibrantly colored bouquet. Ut's a week later and she says it's still gorgeous. My mom is very happy with it and really impressed with the technique for the bag vase. I wouldn't be surprised if she's trying to figure out how to do it herself, so far she's had no luck and thinks it must take special equipment. I would definitely buy from Buddies again.

Ordered it for same day delivery but was delayed because of shipping issues and was delivered the next day. Luckily I ordered it the day before Valentines day and made it to my works work around noon.

But flowers made up for the shipping hick up. The arrangement was beautiful and it was worth the extra money for the deluxe upgrade. My wife really loves it and was really proud because she got lots of compliments.
