In 1937, Shigeichi and Yukie Nakamoto had one vision: To share the highest quality flowers with Hawai‘i. Driven by a desire to make people smile, the couple opened Beretania Florist on Nov. 19, 1937, in Honolulu.
Eighty years later, their vision for a happy and beautiful community lives on through one simple gesture: the gift of a flower.
Today, Beretania Florist continues to thrive, and currently is owned and operated by Celeste Nakamoto Farinas — Shigeichi and Yukie's granddaughter. The company's beautiful floral designs and strict flower quality values has led to numerous recognition, including being voted Hawai‘i's Best and Japanese Chamber of Commerce's Generational Award.

Substitution Policy
In some instances, the florists’ photo may represent an overall theme or look and include a one-of-a-kind vase which cannot be exactly replicated. Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability. If this is the case with the gift you've selected, the local florist will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.
Delivery Policy
Every gift ordered through BloomNation is personally hand-delivered by the local florist. Each local florist sets their own delivery area and fee.
Most florists offer same-day hand delivery, but may have different order received cut-off times for same-day delivery that are based off of the recipient’s time zone. Florists that offer same day delivery display their same-day delivery cut-off time in their store detail section. Orders received after that time may be delivered the following day. Please note some florists may not make deliveries on Sunday.
To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences. Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in advance.

It was beautiful and the flower were so fresh. The arrangement arrived on time and it was better than how the photo looked. Website was easy to select from and I would definitely use them again.

Beretania Florist were amazing with their customer service and floral arrangements! This is my second time I used this business and I definitely am a fan. I placed my order online for my mother’s funeral and accidentally forgot to add the delivery fee. Reece called me up the next day and helped me out, he was very kind and patient. The flowers were also fresh, bright and large! My mother would have loved them. Quality of them were outstanding. Thank you so much for the aloha you’ve shown us.

From the order to final delivery, and eveything in-between, Beretania Florist did a good job in making sure what we got was what we wanted for the funeral. As mentioned to many friends who had other suggestions for florists - when the time comes, you go with the best. Beretania Florist is in that category of "the best"
